23.01.2022 It's NAIDOC week! I am proud to acknowledge that I live and teach in the traditional lands of the Dharug and Gundungurra people. I was going to record a version of the Maranoa lullaby, a beautiful Aboriginal song that we have sung in class. But then I found this - a recording of Ethel, a Gunggari woman in her eighties singing the song after learning the music for the first time. Read her story and enjoy! https://youtu.be/3hLitkIPr4c

17.01.2022 I love hearing from my students! Here is a little monkey following along with her instrument set. I don't think I'll ever get used to seeing myself on people's televisions though!

15.01.2022 The instrument packs are ready to go home to the Little Monkey Students tomorrow! I am so excited to share this new program! I have some spare kits left so if you would like to try the program (ages 4 to 7) get in touch. Only $40 for the term if you have a creative kids voucher

15.01.2022 Well hello there! Sorry I have been so absent, to be honest, the end of last year left me feeling down, I miss all of my students so much! And just as I started to feel hopeful this year might be different, well... not a great start! So, as you may have guessed, I will not be back to face-to-face teaching this term at least. But I WILL BE CONTINUING ONLINE! It was tempting to give it a break (recording and editing is nowhere near as fun an experience for me), but as they say..., the show must go on! I'll be back soon with more details about the upcoming term. But until then, take care and sing loud and happily! Bec x (Picture of a beautiful bag from one of my students, it was so cute (and truthful) that I had to share it!)

09.01.2022 Only a week until classes start up again! I can't wait! Don't forget to book - and use that Creative Kids Voucher if you still have one lying around! (Thanks Creative Kids NSW for the digital grant too.) Keep tuned for a sneak preview soon from week 1, featuring Johnny and his hammer!

08.01.2022 Have you been to a Little Bo Beats class before? Here's a run down of what to expect - the great news is the benefits translate just as well online! Rock-a-bye Rhythms online classes are intended for little ones from birth through to around 2 years, although older children will also benefit and enjoy. The online classes are pre-recorded so you can fit them into your schedule. They generally run for around 10 or so minutes, and can be viewed as many times per week (or day or h...our) as you wish! A new class is uploaded each week. Each class will stream for a week from Monday through to Sunday. Rock-a-bye Rhythm classes are specially designed to support early milestones such as eye tracking and object permanency, as well as developing fine and gross motor skills. The babies are able to listen to both Bec and their big people singing, and to feel the beat through tapping, bouncing and dancing. Each week we focus on a different song, which builds the big people’s repertoire of songs and rhymes to use at home. The classes include counting songs, rhymes, classical and folk music. If you have any questions please feel free to message me or ask in the comments! #earlychildhoodmusic #onlinemusicclasses #babymusicclasses #babymusic #toddlermusicclasses #toddlermusic
