24.01.2022 In line with the recommendations given by the NSW government today we have updated our Covid-19 policy. If your child is displaying flu-like symptoms, even if very mild, including runny nose, cough, sore throat, fever &/or shortness of breath- Please do not send your child to care. If your child is absent from care because of flu-like symptoms, you must not send your child back to care until they have had a Covid-19 test, returning a Negative result & are symptom f...ree. . The centre must receive sight of the Negative Covid-19 result prior to allowing your child to return to care. Results can be emailed to us. . In the case any child is sent home with a runny nose, cough, fever &/or shortness of breath, the family should take their child for a Covid-19 test & submit a Negative test result before they can return to care. If any member of the household has visited a HOTSPOT & have been advised to isolate, regardless of if the results of aCovid-19 test are negative, your children must not attend care for 14 days. The family should submit a medical clearance certificate for the days of exclusion to return to care. Unfortunately we will have to cancel Father's day & Grandparents day morning teas, as well as Diwali celebrations, as we are not allowed to have gatherings. At this stage we may have to also cancel our Christmas Party & Preschool Graduations, however we will see what the conditions will be like later in the year. If we have to cancel we will look at how we can still have a Preschool Graduation & ways in which we can share this with families. We are still able to have our Happy Feet Fitness classes at this stage & the Under the Sea show in October, as these people are delivering curriculum activities, however unfortunately families will not be able to attend. We are also still able to have children therapists attend the service.

23.01.2022 Dear Families, You may have heard that Advanced Child Care in Merrylands has been closed as two staff have tested positive to Coronavirus. Young Academics in Guildford had also been closed the week before last as a staff member tested positive. Due to the increase of cases in the area, we are now treating it as though we are in a hotspot. ... As advised by the NSW Department of Health, we are asking that if your child is exhibiting any signs of cold/flu (i.e. cough, runny nose, or fever) that you do not bring them to care. If the staff observes these symptoms upon arrival or during the day we will ask that you take your child home. Please also be aware as of tomorrow staff will be greeting you & interacting with parents with a facemask on. We do not wear them when working with the children, however, we will be wearing them when greeting & interacting with parents.

The celebration, much like America's Independence Day, takes place on July 14 each year. 09.01.2022 Dear Families, We have put into place more stringent practices regarding safeguarding the service against Coronavirus & shutdowns. Please ensure that you are not coming into the service past the front foyer. We have erected a sign asking you to wait for staff to come & collect or return your child. ... We are also asking you to please ensure that you are using the Hand Santiser to sanitise your hands before using our Ipad to sign in/out of the service. As stated yesterday we are now asking that if anyone in your household has had a test for Coronavirus that regardless if the results are Negative that your children do not attend the service for 14 days & that you provide a Doctor Certificate stating that your child is fit & healthy to return to daycare. This is to ensure that you have not returned a false negative result or don't display symptoms a few days later & test positive. We ask that you please be honest & let us know asap if you are being tested for coronavirus & what the results were.

05.01.2022 Due to new Government recommendations we are advising that any family tested for Coronavirus will not be able to attend the centre for 14 days of isolation. This includes your children, regardless if you or your children have tested negative. Upon return we request a Dr clearance letter.
