24.01.2022 Casey came in for a refresh of her blonde this weekend. Doing a half head of foils, toner and style cut and blowdry. Casey has very fine hair so doing her foils takes a little longer because they have to be very fine to avoid a stripey result.... 12.01.2022 Yay lockdown is ending! Well done Brisbane! I am so happy to hear that lockdown will be ending at 12pm today!... Not going to lie I was stressing they were going to extend it and I'd have to find somewhere to move my clients of a fully booked Saturday when all my Saturdays are fully booked until July But no need to stress about that! We do however have to abide by some restrictions. 1. Masks are required when visiting for the next 2 weeks. 2. The space requirements mean I can not have any extra people in my salon so no friends, or family or children can attend your appointments with you. 3. Most importantly if you are sick in anyway please reschedule your appointment. I will ask you to go home if you show up looking unwell (I'm so lucky I haven't had to enforce this one) And that's it. And when I stop believing in myself she is there to pick me up again. There is a song by Celine Dion called Because You Loved Me and when ever I hear it I always think of mum. This verse in particular has been strong in my mind lately because mum has been there for me when I've been down. 07.01.2022 Monday Gratitude: This one is for Riley I chose to wait for this day to express my Gratitude for Riley... You see on this day 4 years ago I got fired from my job. Yes. Just days before Christmas I got fired because I "wasn't good enough" But that's not what this is about. You see, I remember sitting in my car crying because I was TERRIFIED to go home and let down my partner... As always I called mum who told me I was being an idiot and that Riley loves me and would be nothing but supportive. She was right. I went home to this beautiful man to give him the bad news. You know what he did... He held me while I cried more and said "its ok, we will be ok" I will forever be grateful for that moment (and many more) because right then I knew his love was unconditional. He proved it again when a month or so later (after applying for many jobs and hearing from none) I came home with an idea to open my own salon. My idea would involve a lot from him including supporting my dream, paying our bills, living with the stress of what could happen if I didn't make it. But he said "Do it. It will be hard but worth it because when you make it you will make more money than working for other people AND you will be happier" He has always believed in me, even when I don't believe in myself. He had faith in me and knew I would make my dreams come true and he has supported me the whole way. And I will always be grateful for him and everything he does for me and our life together

01.01.2022 Hello beautiful ladies!! I wanted to make a quick post about appointment availabilities at the moment. I am having A LOT of inquiries from new and exisitng. Some are struggling to find times that suit them and me.... When wanting to make an appointment, please keep in mind that its just me in salon. You get one on one service which means you get my full attention. What this also means is that appointments are filling quick! My saturdays are fully booked until the end of August and I am encouraging all my regular clients to book their appointments for the rest of the year to avoid missing out. And my weeks are also getting busy. At the moment I only have one availability left for next week. I will never turn anyone away but please be understanding that you may not get an appointment straight away and that many of my appointments are clients who have booked in advance. I love all my clients and welcome any new clients Thank you to everyone for being so understanding xx

01.01.2022 This is why I do what I do Allison is a beautiful, amazing woman and 2020 has been a little rough for her. So rough that she hasn't done ANYTHING to her hair since March. Not even wash it (shoulder injury preventing her from doing so)... She was feeling so down about herself and knew she needed to come see me. So she came for a visit on Saturday and left with amazing new hair with a length that will be easier for her to wash and maintain as well as a stunning new colour. Now im sitting here writing this post and loving the before and after results but knowing that it wasn't JUST the hair thatched Allison leaving feeling like a new woman. Allison came to me because she knew I had created a safe space for her to be able to come in and not be judged for not be able to look after her hair. She knew I would welcome her with open arms, give her a hug and tell her it will all be ok. Which I did. I LOVE that Allison left feeling a little less weighed down with life and hair.
