10.01.2022 Dear You, As the proprietor of the Comedy Lounge, I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you, our amazing audiences, for your support over the past year. The Comedy Lounge has long been proud to bring Perth the best of Australian and international comedy, and this year has certainly been no exception.... Weve hosted home-grown stars like Pete Rowsthorne, Joel Creasey, Greg Fleet and Claire Hooper and international comedy imports like Jeff Green, Dave Callan and Vladimir McTavish (to name but a few), and the general concensus of all of our acts is that the Comedy Lounge crowds are amongst the best in Australia. Weve again hosted the largest number of competitors in the country in the W.A. component of the national Raw Comedy competition, and been delighted to send this years deserved winner John Pinder over to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival to try his hand in the final. We also had a big year with the Green Faces competition, resulting in the Suns of Fred claiming an ovewhelming audience-voted victory, and representing W.A. at the finals in Canberra. Closer to home, the Girlz Night Out, our all-female audience monthly show has continued to provide an hilarious night out for the ladies of Perth, who have continued to let their hair down and the laughter out for the quality comedians the Comedy Lounge has been delighted to present. Our Englishman, Irishman and Scotsman show, now in its 3rd year, was also a huge success, and its been a pleasure for us to source and provide to the people of Perth the best comics U.K. and Ireland have to offer each year. We cant wait to announce the line-up for next years show - its going to be huge. And of course, we cant forget our Thursday shows at The Charles and Saturdays at The Loft. We are so proud that these shows remain two of the longest-running weekly rooms in the country, with arguably the most loyal and enthusiastic audiences. Our job is an easy one.
