25.01.2022 Behind the Scenes! Fergus came in to see Dr Anna for a dental scale and polish. This procedure is performed under general anaesthetic to allow us to accurately assess the health of the teeth; clean all surfaces of the teeth, including under the gumline; and extract (remove) teeth as needed, without causing pain and stress to our patients. Fergus was a very well behaved boy, and because he gets his teeth checked and cleaned regularly, he didn't need to have any taken out!

24.01.2022 Just a friendly reminder Little Critters will be closed on Monday 5th due to the public holiday. We hope you all have a happy long weekend spending time with your fur-babies. For any emergencies please contact the Animal Referral Hospital on 3172-0593

22.01.2022 Are you looking for a special furry addition to join your family? These 3 ladies are ready for adoption! The 2 gorgeous playful kittens are $150 each which includes their desexing procedure, first vaccination, microchip and up to date worming. The older girl who we refer to as "Mumma" is approx 2 years old. She was surrendered with her kittens who have since been adopted. She can be a little bossy with other cats and smaller dogs at times, but if you have other furry ...members of your family we can arrange a 2 week trial to see if she is the purr-fect fit. Mumma is $100 which includes desexing, first vaccination, microchip and up to date worming. If you are interested please call the clinic

19.01.2022 Today is Hug Your Hound Day The unofficial holiday celebrates the special bond between dogs and their owners. It is a good time to try and see things from your dogs perspective. For example: Check your fence for gaps... Look around your yard for broken chew toys that can become choking hazards Do you have any toxic plants or items your forever friend can come into contact with? Most importantly enjoy lots of hugs today

11.01.2022 An Un-eye-deal Situation Milo is an 8 week old Saint Bernard x Mastiff puppy that came in after being swiped in the eye by the family cat. Unfortunately for Milo, this resulted in a lacerated third eyelid which required surgical repair. Dr Mel anaesthetised Milo and using a very fine suture, brought the two sections of eyelid together. He was sent home with a topical antibiotic ointment and some oral anti-inflammatories to help with the healing process, and his third eyelid is expected to heal well!
