24.01.2022 The children had fun making green glitter playdough for an activity where they had to make a christmas tree and decorate it with Poms Poms, Glitter pipe cleaners and shiny gems or made a gingerbread man to decorate, The activity promotes counting, mixing, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, language and taking turns.

20.01.2022 Doing some practice for Kindergarten promote listen to instructions, fine motor to draw, hand and eye coordination to follow the dots, language, learning sounds, letters and numbers.

19.01.2022 The children listened to stories about "Lest we Forget " and "Meet the ANZACS" we talked about the Poppy and that its a symbol of both Remembrance and hope it reminds us that near battlefields Poppy were offen seen, we then read "A Poem For Remembrance Day' and discussed the of the colour of the poppy. The children did a minute silence and we made Poppy Wreath for craft out of paper plates which the children painted green then they psinted their gands red to make Poppies, the we cut black pipe cleaners to be the black seeds the activity promoted fine motor skills, hand and eye coordination, language skills and an understanding of the past.

18.01.2022 One of our children came in and talked about hedgehogs on a show he watched so we extended it by listening to the story of 'Percy the Park keeper" then followed by making our own hedgehogs using cork sheets, glue and differnt colour wool for spike's the activity helps develop cutting skills, fine motor, language and hand and eye coordination. Learning outcome 4 children are confident learners 4a children develop disposition for learning such as curiosity, cooperation, confidence, creativity, Learning outcome 5 Children are effective communicators 5a children interact verbally and non-verbally with others for a range of purpose.

17.01.2022 This week the children have been talking about the fire fighter fighting bush fires and injured wildlife they have seen on the tv. So we decided to take it further and make a display on the wildlife that have survived with the help of volunteer rescuers, and fire fighters that have found them. Every few days we are going to add more animals to it by making animal out of craft materials. Also for role play we are setting up a animal hospital, so the children can dress up in costume and use pretend first aid vet kits, to help make the soft koala's, kangaroo's and possum's toys better, firefighter costume so they can pretend to put bush fires out.

15.01.2022 Happy Easter to everyone hope you have a fun filled day

15.01.2022 This week we are celebrating NAIDOC Week the children listen to stories from Dreamtime, we talked about it meaning and that we are celebrating history, culture and achievements of Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islander. Today the childre did dot painting we looked at different pictures and then copied one by using different colour paints red, green, brown, orange, white, black and yellow we talked about the colours of the hand The symbolic meaning of the flag colours is: Black represents the Aboriginal people of Australia. Yellow circle represents the Sun, the giver of life and protector. Red represents the red earth, the red ochre used in ceremonies and Aboriginal peoples' spiritual relation to the land.

11.01.2022 Some of the fun things we have being doing in July including the School Holiday's. lots of art and craft, imaginative play, sandpit play, fine motor skills, and lots of social interaction with each other.

11.01.2022 Today we start the Letterland Program. Letterland is a FUN way to learn phonics-based learning program that supports children’s preparing for Big School with a range of activities including songs, rhymes, dances, books, flash cards and pre-writing skills. The Letterland program is part of my school readiness activities that I do with the children. The children enjoyed listening to the story of Annie Apple and the sounds she makes " a...a...a... The children learnt the song whilst they did a worksheet where the children had to trace around the apples and the letter "Aa".

11.01.2022 Some of the fun things we did in June at Little Dingo's Family Day Care: From arts and crafts to making Playdough, to getting ready for school and learning to write our name, learn the alphabet, and number. From role play with Dinosaurs or pretending to dive to the deep to look at the sea creatures, or looking at bugs through a maginified Glass. or pretending to be shop keepers, we have lots of fun here with our friends.

07.01.2022 The children enjoyed playing with the new coffee shop set, we decided on a name for the cafe, then we talked about what things they have on menus, we made order forms and some money. The children set up a table with knapkins, cutlery, flowers for table dressing, then chose who was doing what role in the cafe. The activity promoted social skills, language, numeracy skills, fine motor for writing, by using dramatic play to reinact their experiences when out for lunch etc. Learning Outcomes that was shown through their play was, Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world, Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators, and learning outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners.
