04.01.2022 Thank You Project Australia’s goal is for every student in Australia to write a thank you. We started #thankyouprojectsustralia on the 29th April over a fami...ly dinner. We’d just watched @theprojecttv and seen a little girl making face masks to help healthcare workers and I asked the kids what they thought they could do to help our community during COVID. Gracie (8) replied, We could write thank you letters to the Drs and nurses, Harry (10) chipped in, and what about the teachers, cleaners and all the other people that still have to work, and then George (11) pushed it with We could make it a project and see if other kids might like to join us. Thank You Project Australia was born. We did a few thank you letters and posted them on social media and this amazing community of teachers and parents hugged the idea of #thankyouprojectaustralia and off it went. We’ve had over 550 teachers, principals and families contact us wanting to get involved like @littleexplorerseducation in Blacktown NSW. As a #thankyouprojectaustralia community we’re guesstimating we’ve now written over 45,000 thank yous, this one makes 45,001. #thankyouprojectaustralia has organised thank yous from everyone from the Prime Minister, nursing homes, nurses, teachers, doctors, grocery stores, politicians, fire fighters, parents, emergency services and many, many more from around Australia. So we need your help to get more students involved by tagging a preschools, daycares, schools and after school centres who you think could get involved. Or for more information you can email us [email protected] and George will send you an email with all the information. See more
