Our educators have been fostering children's enquiry using science week to hypothesize, problem solve, explore ideas and theories. Today the children created tested their theory reagrding the cause and effect of the Lava Lamps.

Our educators understand how important it is for our children and families to feel safe, secure and supported. 18.01.2022 Our preschool children had an opportunity to enjoy some native teas (lemon Myrtle and Rosella Flower tea) using our newly created Green House kitchen up stairs on the roof top. A place for the children to role play with natural materials and wash fresh produce picked form the green house. #earlychildhood

18.01.2022 Back during the bushfires our Preschool children took the initiative to organise a little bake sale to help the koalas. We managed to raise enough funds to Adopt a Koala called Anwen, from Port Macquarie Koala Hospital. Just last week we received the exciting news that because of our families kind donations Anwen received treatment and was able to be released back into his natural habitat.. We thought we would spread some cheer during these testing times #spreadkindnessnotgerms

18.01.2022 Recently our Little Feet Preschoolers connected with another class of preschoolers located in Canungra in rural Queensland. They sent drawings of their favourites things, and places such as local beaches and parks or paintings. It was also a great opportunity for the children to practice their writing skills as they asked their pen pal buddies questions and told them about themselves. The Preschoolers also had many questions surrounding the concept of mail and how it would be delivered, which we will explore further in class. We hope to hear back from our pen pals in Canungra soon! We took the children on an excursion to the local postbox and showed them our on letterbox where we hope to receive a reply from our new pen pals

07.01.2022 Every Tuesday afternoon our Preschoolers have the opportunity to explore Varna Park as part of our Munch and Move program. The great outdoors provides endless learning opportunities. We have been conducting these excursions for a couple of months now and have seen the children hit so many goals and learning outcomes. This brings us educators great joy to see the children not only have so much fun but to succeed and display such determination.. Children who initially could not... move from one monkey bar to the next are now getting the whole way across. Others are finding the courage and problem solving skills to climb trees. Others are obsessed with the insects, birds and creatures that call the park home. Others still are learning how to swing on their own. We decided to paint each one a different flag representing indigenous Australia. Here are a group of Preschool children hard at work.
