14.01.2022 PAINTED COSTUMES! I really didn’t know what to call these kooky paintings-that-you-stick-your-head-into but they sure turned out awesome! I love that each one is completely individual and kid-made.... we looked at stimulus material & discussed the portraiture of different artists we sketched our ideas onto our cardboard after teacher modelling we painted our backgrounds added paint to our characters added black sharpie outlines highlights & shading with paint pens & oil pastels to finish This fun program repeats on Friday the 9th of April and there are still places available. 10.01.2022 Had a little impromptu craft session this afternoon. Pulled out the craft supply baskets and just started making without thinking (my fave type of creativity). Think we’re both pretty tired at the end of term so it was nice to craft together. Little one created some subtle Easter jewellery: bunny earrings and bracelets fashioned from shells and wooden beads (eggs) with no direction from me. Gotta love kids creativity!
