25.01.2022 GET LOOSE ...because it's a holiday here tomorrow! #danceitout Once upon a time, of have studied the form guide, looked at the jockey's silks, and been hanging for race time. Now, I couldn't tell you a thing about it! #whoevenami I'm so excited because we're catching up with my uni BFF. We haven't seen each other for two years and one week. Not counting, Google showed me a picture from our last catch up. And no, we haven't moved away from each other, we both still live in Melbourne, it's just life happened to us both. #soflippingexcited Are you a race goer? Are you even in Melbourne reaping the benefits of a long weekend? What are your Tuesday plans?

20.01.2022 And now we know why there are no (more) unicorns...

19.01.2022 Hello long weekend!! Great to see you old friend. There's some new faces about my part of Instagram, and it's a little while since I've shown my face - even if I am hiding behind my @rayban sunnies - so there's no time like the present, right? #letmeintroducemyself Hi, I'm Hollie. Lover of slow living, vintage life and fashions (think 1940s and 1950s), flowers, water, planners, the environment, design, and weddings. #loveitall I'm a mum, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a grandd...aughter, an aunt, a friend, a thrifty shopper, a planner, and so much more. #notenoughspaceforallthethings Things are noticeably quiet around here right now for a couple of reasons: 1. I am recovering from major surgery back in August. I had melanoma. It was a big one. I had a hole in my calf bigger than a tennis ball. Now it's slightly smaller than a tennis ball. Best news was that the cancer didn't spread; and 2. I'm getting ready to relaunch in February 2019. I've spent the last seven years trying to figure out exactly what I want to do with Little Goldfish, and after a cracking 2018, I've finally realised that serving my heart and yours is where I want to be. Little Goldfish Designs will relaunch in February 2019 as the home of #vintageboldbrighteco wedding invitations and stationery. For more info, visit the website. #gettingbetterallthetime Is it a long weekend in your neck of the woods? What's on the agenda? Say hi and let me know! See more

19.01.2022 Well, this certainly lived up to my expectations! I could watch this all afternoon!

19.01.2022 THAT'S A WRAP! Well, what a year that was. (Business) Soul searching has seen a huge shift for Little Goldfish Designs. There was a name change (but Facebook won't let me update it ), a complete change of direction from offering printed goods for celebrations, business, home, and life, to closing up shop and work on my new direction - digital vintage-inspired wedding invitations and stationery for the eco-conscious couple.... A massive shout out to Makers' Collective for such comprehensive academy trainings and helping me find what I love. Of course, all of this was put on hold at the end of July/beginning of August when I was diagnosed with melanoma. I spent 9 days in hospital - check out my Instagram stories >> www.instagram.com/littlegoldfishdesigns I'm extremely happy to report that the excision of the melanoma was successful, the excision and biopsy of the sentinel lymph node also positive - the cancer did not spread. I need quarterly checks for a little while, then it will go to annual checks. Wishing you and yours a wonderful, safe Christmas and 2019. PS - I'll be back on 2 January here and there, working away on my online shop ready for opening on 4 February!

18.01.2022 Oh my goodness, this had me in stitches. Don't get me wrong, it's lovely. And, I know that no two weddings are the same, but I feel like every wedding looks like this. ... If different is what you're after, I've got your back. Shop now: www.littlegoldfish.com.au Edit: Source unknown; supplied my husband via Reddit.

18.01.2022 Well, I've never seen this until now, but my oh my, the goosebumps. Christmas wishes from me to you.

17.01.2022 With 2019 just around the corner, there's bound to be lots of glitter in Monday's forecast. This article from ABC News explains why glitter in its traditional form is so detrimental to the environment, and also links us to eco-friendly options. Go forth and sparkle, responsibly!

15.01.2022 I WISH THIS WAS A SMELL-OPHONE Seriously, these King Proteas, eucalypt, and other gorgeous flowers (I'm no florist or botanist, I have no idea what they all are ) from @rumdulflowers are heavenly. #myhousesmellswonderful If you want to see them - I mean smell them - you'll need to head to the @yarravalleyestate Eco Bride Market Day TOMORROW from 11 til 3. #youdontwanttomissit Not only will you get the chance to buy things for your #zerowastewedding - yaaaasssssss - you'll get the chance to see what's coming to the website in February!! Don't be shy, come say hi! I love meeting new people, especially new customers! #engagedcouplescomeatme

13.01.2022 Who can relate!? I got to a point that I donated most things I bought to do a project because the clutter made me anxious! Not going to lie, I do have stuff that I bought in May or June last year to make for July that never happened. But now my sewing machine is out of the box, I'll get it done for this July!

10.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW... I studied urban and regional planning at RMIT University, and that unlocked something inside of me that I didn't realise was so strong: My love for the planet. When I graduated in December 2015, I was almost through my first trimester of pregnancy. I was also selling sustainable vintage wares on Alexie RicRac, and designing invitations, coordinating stationery, and greeting cards for all occasions here at Little Goldfish. Oh, and I was also working for GoGet #...notimeortoomuchtime When Eliana came along in July 2016, everything else stopped. Becoming a mum was everything. This little person needed every last bit of me. And I needed every last bit of her. I started to get things rolling again with Little Goldfish in February/March of 2017 working with the gorgeous Katie at True North Events Melbourne to create an amazingly colourful fiesta inspired shoot with Pantone's 2017 Colour of the Year, Greenery , for Keneena of Kablooie store. #sofreshsobright Late 2017 I was still trying to figure out what I wanted to do with Little Goldfish. I found an amazing brand rep team, and started to create what I thought would bring me joy. I was wrong. #theywerethebestteam Also in late 2017, I joined Makers' Collective's Makers' Academy. I really needed help unlocking exactly what I wanted to achieve with Little Goldfish. Everything fell into place in April of this year, and I've been working ever since to achieve this vision. I've invested in myself and my business, backing myself so the way, and am also now a student of Mums With Hustle's Social Method Society (part of it is my Christmas present, thanks husband!) #directionisamazing There's only 67 days to go until everything is revealed. You can swing by my website and see the improvements, along with getting some invaluable wedding planning hints and tips. More will come to the blog (link in bio) in 2019, but for now, I'm focused on getting my online shop finished, ready for launch on Monday 4 February. Keep your eyes peeled for more launch updates here. #vintageboldbrighteco

08.01.2022 SCORCHER Our house has been under quarantine the last two days. My husband and I both have had rotten head colds, that seemed to have almost vacated - along with the heat. We've all stayed in the lounge room under the portable AC and fans...missing our bed very much but it's easier to keep one room cool than the entire house.... There's been more screen time than we'd like to keep our 2.5 year old occupied as we tried to recuperate. Feeling incredibly guilty but when you're uncomfortable and can't keep your eyes open long, there's not much else to do! Thankfully her play space is also in the lounge room so she's happily played in her kitchen and Lego too, as well as lying on her mattress on the floor to keep cool. Tomorrow's forecast of 27 is most welcome! What did you do/are you doing to stay cool these last couple of days?

08.01.2022 I'm not crying, you are.

04.01.2022 Do you celebrate Valentine's? We don't (anymore). Our first Valentine's Day was spent eating pizza at the laundromat. It will be forever called Hot Date.

03.01.2022 There's so much out there for us. Expect the unexpected. Open up a little more. Slow right down. Breathe.

02.01.2022 We considered having a cheese cake! Decided against it because Alex's darling Babcia may have questioned why we didn't have a Polish cheesecake Would you have a cheese cake? What cheeses would you have? I think we'd have Brie, Camembert, Gouda, Blue Stilton, and a feta.

02.01.2022 Thanks @me_and_mrs_jones for reminding me we've been celebrating one year of marriage equality!

01.01.2022 Holy wow. Not sure all wedding related but so very freaking cool.
