23.01.2022 Happy 1st Birthday to Us Tomorrow will make the offical 1st Birthday for us and our families at Little Grubbs Orchard. We are so greatful to have had the privilege this far to spend 365 days supporting our children and families through this journey. We look forward to sharing so many more years together!... This day also marks the heavenly birthday of our CoFounder, Bernice Grubb. As a way of celebration we ask all our family and friends to take a photos of them wearing something purple or lavender. Little Grubbs Orchard has only become possible due to her vision and purpose, which was to help as many people as she could especially, children in our community. For each photo that you post and tag us, we will donate $5 to the @goldcoasthospitalfoundation in her honour. A Hospital that supported our family and gave us an extra 18 months of laugher, love and time. We always look for ways to give back and thought this was a great starting point! 07.01.2022 IMPORTANT CORONAVIRUS UPDATE From midday TOMORROW (1 June) Queenslanders will be able to travel anywhere within Queensland, including overnight stays Th...at means no km restriction on where you can go within Qld (but some remote indigenous communities will remain closed) Gatherings of 20 people will be allowed. Gyms will be able to re-open for 20 people. Cafes, restaurants, pubs and clubs can increase their dine-in customers from 10 to 20 From midday Friday 5 June, venues with more space can have up to 20 people in each defined area IF they follow an approved COVID Safe Industry Plan. Its been a tough few months for everyone so this easing will help a lot of people and businesses Keep up the social distancing, have good hygiene and if youre sick at all, stay home - except for when youre getting tested! 01.01.2022 Coronavirus Update for our families at Little Grubbs Orchard 15th March 2020: Just the facts, no conjecture, no sensantionalism, no alarmist language - * Little Grubbs Orchard will remain OPEN and continue in home, kindy and clinic therapy unless instructed to close by the Department of Queensland Health... * There are no reported cases of Coronavirus at our facility or any of the facilities we attend * We will continue to communicate via phone with every family we have returning from overseas holidays to discuss their travel itineraries and interactions Recommendations: ** If your child is ill, keep them at home ** Delay overseas travel ** Wash hands (20 seconds) with soap and dont touch face. ** See a doctor immediately If you have: - travelled overseas in the past 14 days and are unwell with symptoms of COVID-19 coronavirus - had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 coronavirus. Before your appointment, please call ahead and mention your symptoms and travel (or contact) history so they can prepare for your visit. *** If you choose to travel anywhere overseas, you are now required to self -quarantine when you return for a 14 day period as soon as you arrive home. This has been updated today by Government officials. We will continue to provide a safe learning environment for our students, staff and visitors. We will also continue to remind children of maintaining good hygiene practices and ensure in all therapy sessions we discuss hygiene and demonstrate with sanitisers and soap (for visual support) how to wash our hands properly. 01.01.2022 Every session that we have, we focus on teaching our Little Grubbs how to stay safe and recognise danger when out and about. We do this in small groups with 1:1 ratio to maximise the opportunity for our children to practice road safety and when we have to stop or when we can go!
