22.01.2022 Look what our kids are learning at school... warms my heart no end. They grow, discover, cook a 5 course meal and finally sit down to share their meal together.... This is life education at its finest. And this little girl with her garden list ready to give to her daddy. Think she deserved a little starter kit. https://www.facebook.com/kitchengardenconsultation. 19.01.2022 Week 4 in the kitchen with DS5, HR5 & TH2/3. First session for the 2/3's and they created some delicious fritters and pancakes. Year 5s made pizza from scratch with some different toppings they had never tried before. Thank you to all the volunteers we have welcomed back to our kitchen program...we can't do this without your help and support!

19.01.2022 Morning all, we are still seeking to fill a couple of spots for our Bunnings BBQ this Saturday at the Mount Barker store. If you are available, please contact Renee Lynn at school. Thank you for your support.

18.01.2022 Call out for produce...does anyone in our school community have access to Lilly Pilly berries? I would like to use some in our native foods menu next week. Please message me if you can help out. Thank you

18.01.2022 It's been a BIG, challenging, introductory year for me in the kitchen garden program at school but it's quite rewarding when you receive these kind words and 3 cheers from a group of year 7s and 5s today. Thanks for all your hard work and resilience to get through the kitchen lessons, it's fantastic to see how far you have all come this year. Well done LHS students and a HUGE thank you to all our wonderful volunteers throughout this year

16.01.2022 Dish of the day...a beautiful artistic creation from the DS5 green kitchen group yesterday. Kale slaw with as much freshly picked green and red goodness from our kitchen garden. Styled with fennel fronds, callendula petals and flowers and borage. So so pretty and brightened my day. #lovekidscreativeflair Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation

01.01.2022 Week 1: New term, new group of students. Today kitchen classes returned with LA5 creating dishes with pumpkin. Our school garden produced some lovely QLD blue pumpkins so we used them to create our menu. Pumpkin hummus with flatbread, pumpkin and honey muffins and Pumpkin chard and feta salad. A fantastic session and wonderful to have volunteers back in the kitchen helping the students. #sakgf #wintermenu
