12.01.2022 The pumpkins are looking good. The corn is almost at its end and the kitchen gardens are getting ready for Winter on the farm. We've had a few heavy mists in the valley this week too - I keep forgetting to take a pic for you.

11.01.2022 Not one...but a hundred blooms just for you!

09.01.2022 Our first really hot day yesterday and Chase and I went down to the Ford for a swim. A little surprised how low the river was after such good rains this year though. Happy Days!

09.01.2022 WARNING...THIS VIDEO CONTAINS GOOD VIBES Happy Sunday wherever you are. Here is just a few moments of Chase chilling in the front paddock.

08.01.2022 This year has been like no other on the farm, cooking classes and events have been limited to family group activities and accommodation guests only. Longtime Little Hill Farm supporter Richard and Aundrey brought 6 friends to the farm this weekend for an end of Spring celebration. Besides gourmet breakfast meals daily, afternoon scones and a guided tour of the farm, the eight-member group sat down to seasonal feast last night which featuring produce grown predominately on the... farm - artichokes, beetroot, vinocotto, sage, herbs, leaks, garlic, spring onions, almonds, asparagus, limes, lemons and cherries. Here is the menu Stuffed Roman artichoke hearts, mini caramelized onion and beetroot tartlets, honey soy chicken wings. Ricotta gnocchi in a sage and burnt butter sauce Tuscan garlic chicken, almond pilaf rice and seasonal vegetables Asparagus risotto Lime and limoncello sorbet Cherry and frangipane tart Last nights feast was a wonderful way to wind down for Christmas Richard and Aundrey Thank you and we hope to see you again soon. All the best, Antonio, Adam and the very happy farm dog Chase.

08.01.2022 Almost taken out by a low flying crow...the sunburnt hills in the valley.

07.01.2022 ...from the mail bag. COLIN WEE - TRIPADVISOR - HEART AND STYLE Adam and Antonio have created beautiful, and elegant studios set amidst a scenery reminiscent of Tuscany at Little Hill Farm. We had a lovely stay recently, and admired the heart they put into their work, the style apparent in everything they do, and the lovely food from Antonio’s kitchen. Thank you both for the Farm tour, the scone making class, allowing us to ring the Angelus Bell, and being such lovely hosts. Also loving the jams we bought when we were there. Looking forward to returning to Bridgetown in the future.

06.01.2022 Antonio let me do the first stages of cooking last nights' Bistecca alla Fiorentina which was part of a 5-course Harvest Feast Banquet for guests. 06.01.2022 Recipe Hunter Red Alert all I said was let’s do something different with the apricots from the orchards this year. Just one innocent comment a few days ago. I thought nothing of it. AND THEN ON NYE Antonio is spending a lot more time in the kitchen than normal, while the dog and I were out on the veranda watching the clouds pass by I head into the kitchen and see my husband hard at work making a dessert for us. All I can tell you is that this recipe is some next lev...el home cooking! As always, Antonio has put the recipe up www.littlehillfarm.com.au/apricot-and-vanilla-souffles Happy New Year from Antonio, Adam, and Chase the very happy farm dog.

06.01.2022 It is just too hot out there Chase. Where's Antonio - it's time for morning tea...

04.01.2022 Every year we spend hours repairing nets just before we cover the cherry trees. Priority number 1...protect the cherries!

03.01.2022 Only a few weeks ago and it felt like Winter, now it is Spring, and Summer is just around the corner. For weeks and weeks, it was hard to get outside with the rain and now it has stopped, everything is growing at pace. The last week has been all about the hedges and managing those prolific growers around the farm. Also cleaning up fire breaks and getting ready for the fire season. Chase has been my shadow and Antonio has been taking pics. Over the next few months Antonio will start to tend to the vines more regularly and we will start the Summer stone fruit harvest. Happy days!

02.01.2022 What a beautiful few weeks it has been in down south. The region has been buzzing with travellers and the farm has been busy with guests, tours and Antonio and I working hard in the kitchen gardens. Spring is certainly here though and we can feel Summer is around the corner. Here a few pics from around the farm just to share the beauty of Bridgetown. Have a wonderful week.
