21.01.2022 FOOTY FUN today at Little Joey’s. The theme songs were playing out in the yard, delicious party pies, sausage rolls and hot dogs served for lunch. The children were able to further develop their eye hand coordination and gross motor development whilst kicking the football around and through the hand made goal posts. The sun was shining, there was lots of laughter and everyone enjoyed the day. Have a great weekend full of football madness.

20.01.2022 We may not have celebrated book week in the same fashion as we normally would; however it was great to see books incorporated into this weeks curriculum planning. We decided to not dress up due to our recent spring carnival, footy day and Halloween coming up next week. The children did however bring in books to share with their peers and experienced great activities and play spaces associated with all time favourite stories.

19.01.2022 Our first Incursion today after Covid. The children joined in with a musical experience and learnt all about Bongo drums. The drums are of different size: the larger drum is called in Spanish the hembra and the smaller drum is called the macho. The Conga, or more properly the tumbadora, is a tall, narrow, single-headed Cuban drum. Lots of enjoyment had by all listening to the beat and moving to the rhythm.

18.01.2022 SPRING CARNIVAL: Although the weather wasn’t kind to us today, everyone at Little Joeys all laughed and smiled, enjoying the day with face painting, balloon art, dancing and eating yummy cakes.

17.01.2022 Bellissimo ! Our P.K team enjoyed making their own lunch today. Pizza was on the menu and our children made so many healthy choices! Well done Bambinis

17.01.2022 A new space for our children to have some quiet time whilst outdoors and engage in stories.

16.01.2022 Barefoot engineering at its best. Today our kinders enjoyed robotics. They took part in a group time with a small robot, discussing the how’s and why’s with their inquisitive minds, they then made their own robot with recyclable materials in the secret garden. In the sunny afternoon they enjoyed racing individual items down the creek... with Vinny supervising them of course Well done team kinder, inspiring young minds in the sunshine #connectedtoourearth

15.01.2022 Happy Luna New Year! This week our children have celebrated the year of the Ox with story time, craft, drama, cuisine and lots of fun , san choy bow was on the menu today and our older children discovered their own zodiac signs ... we think most of them are monkeys

13.01.2022 Its been a busy day for our four year old Kinder children. The children went fishing in the creek. They firstly drew and cut out their own fish and attached them to sticks from the garden. They went barefoot fishing in the creek. They patiently waited to cook their fish. Some of our ‘engineers’ built a big train track while our musicians’ made music. As the sunny morning progressed, the children came up with great play ideas. Well Done Kinder children.

12.01.2022 Special THANK YOU to some of our pre Kinder children for helping us clean up the yard. Teaching them respect for their environment.

11.01.2022 Victoria may be in lockdown, however here at Little Joey’s we are still continuing to thrive and learn. All our children were given the opportunity to partake in our Bush Kinder program, exploring their natural environment. We got bare footed and explored the creek, did art experiences using natural resources as well as enjoyed a delicious picnic. We are thankful our children can continue as normal and come to their Little Joey’s Community.

09.01.2022 Our tinkers & thinkers program kicked off today where our children made natural pine cone mobiles for our babies yard. Further developing their fine motor skills. What an amazing job they did. Thank you.

07.01.2022 Our Kinder children participated in Bush Kinder today and made bird feeders to attract our natural wild birds into our surroundings. We look forward to welcoming our feathered friends.

05.01.2022 Great to see our Pre-Kinder children enjoying some extra curriculum activities this afternoon exploring their natural surroundings up in the paddock; partaking in a sports program with educators Brycen and Skye. They were busy furthering their gross motor skills, balance, eye hand coordination and strengthening their muscles all whilst learning important life skills of turn taking, patience and team work.

02.01.2022 What an amazing day celebrating HALLOWEEN at Little Joey’s. Thank you to everyone for making the day so special. The costumes were incredible, the food was divine. The atmosphere was thriving and children were involved in a variety of experiences and activities. Overall, a fun and exciting special day for our Little Joeys Community.
