25.01.2022 The how do sugary drinks affect our teeth experiment. The children predicted the outcomes, observed and recorded the results daily and at the end of the week evaluated and discussed results. Outcome: Children use a range of skills and processes such as problem solving, inquiry, experimentation, hypothesising, researching and investigating. 23.01.2022 Little Joey’s set up this week. We were so keen to keep dress up clothes from our Hollywood theme, but wanted to have a hospital too, so I created both zones for the kiddos. They are really enjoying their dramatic play at the moment. It so lovely to see the primary aged kids still enjoying their imaginary play, so great for their development and learning My cherubs are so amazing ... Outcome 4.1: Children develop dispositions such as curiosity, cooperation, confidence, creativity, commitment, enthusiasm, persistence, imagination and reflexivity.

23.01.2022 This week is National Child Protection Week. At Little Joey’s we will be focused on exploring this. We will have discussions about personal safety, cyber safety, watch Daniel Morcombe Foundation Online Safety Lessons, explore Child Protection themed books and complete colouring in and worksheets together. Outcome 1.1 : Children feel safe, secure and supported.

14.01.2022 Little Joey’s set up for the week. Lots of lovely whole group imaginary play happening at Little Joey’s at the moment, camping area is to extend those lovely interactions Outcome : Children are effective communicators.... The other areas pictured included operation bug (as named by Bridget) aimed at fine motor skill development, magnetic tiles exploring creativity, hand/eye coordination and again fine motor skills and playdough with potato head pieces and blocks for creativity and well, just fun. Lots of other fun planned for the week, looks like it’s going to be a fun week
