19.01.2022 Continuing with the seaside diversion, we were directed to a most delightful lunch destination at Ulmarra.I find it hard not to respond to a heartfelt floral greeting and even lovelier as the kitchen opened out onto a sunny beer garden, sheltered by the filigree leaves of the iconic jacarandas, befriended by Magpies while the great, wide Clarence sparkled silver, bright flashes.

12.01.2022 Just beyond the kitchen door and past the hills hoist, lies this almost endless meadow that enjoys a moments peace after a day of being trampled by vexed guinea fowls, sly foxes and meandering echidnas.

11.01.2022 Lovely walk this afternoon, circumnavigating the homestead in ever expanding circles. Confusion of guinea fowl scratching about looking for late worms & succulent slugs (they’re in the celery patch). Ginger cat pounced on a field mouse, a hundred cows headed for the gully very quickly. Mr K watered the rose garden and I gasbagged on the phone to dear friend Grant who is doing his best to get through Melbourne lock down with his 94 year old Mum. So far so good
