25.01.2022 A brand new business has opened in Adelaide to offer youth social clubs to kids on the Autism Spectrum. Spectrum Connect Australia will be running after school meetings for pre-teen kids that provide a supportive environment where they can make friends and practice their social skills. Each week the club meeting will have a different focal entertainment providing a shared experience for the kids to bond over and that encourages them to practice concepts like turn taking, tea...m work, sportsmanship, motor skills and much more. For the month of November they are running a 4 week trial program ahead of their full launch in 2021. These early workshops have a strictly limited number of spots available and include weekly events such as Lego Build and Bash, Beyblade Tournaments, Nerf and Archery Targeting and Reptile Meet-and-Greet experience. 10.01.2022 Have you checked out the new Wilfred Taylor nature playspace at Morphett Vale? It’s pretty cool! There’s lots of play equipment plus water play and sand areas all surrounded by beautiful trees to climb and grass to play on. ... There’s BBQ’s and toilet facilities available too and plenty of spaces to set up a picnic. Sorry there’s not many photos of the actual equipment, it was very busy when we were there and I couldn’t get pics without other people’s kids in them!
