All they have to do is use the tongs to pick up the pom-poms and put them in the matching coloured cup. For younger children just take away the tongs and get them to use their fingers

16.01.2022 Shape Mirroring Activity With this activity the children had to get the coloured paddle pop sticks and match it with the pattern already laid out. During this activity to encourage the children’s development we spoke about the different colours and counted how many sticks were needed for each pattern. The benefits of this activity- fine motor skills hand eye coordination language development social skills... patterns and sequencing This activity was lots of fun and had the children entertained and learning for ages. For younger children that may not be able to copy the pattern encourage them to either place the sticks on top of the matching colours or just group the colours together. See more
