23.01.2022 I received Billy’s enrolment acceptance to start prep next year today and it made me really emotional. I’m finding I’m more sensitive than usual during lockdown. Anyone else? As he’s a January baby we decided not to send him until he turns 6 and it’s absolutely been the right decision. Even though kinder has been disrupted this year, he has completely blossomed, his confidence is soaring and he has become more resilient. He is now so ready to start school and that ma...kes me happy. I’m grateful we’ve been able to spend so much time together this year even though it’s been challenging at times. I really feel for the little preppies who have barely been at school right through to the Year 12’s who have sadly had their final year taken away from them I hope your kids are all managing ok. They are just so precious our adaptable little legends aren’t they? Jess xo

17.01.2022 As of this week, I’m proud to announce that all our postal tubes will include First Nations place names in the addresses shipped within Australia. This is inspired by Gomeroi woman, Rachael McPhail who recently created this campaign and there’s now a movement growing to acknowledge Country by using traditional place names more. Australia Post are fully on board, with a spokesperson saying: "When it comes to the addressing of letters and parcels, customers are welcome to inc...lude the Traditional Nation name in the address. This wonderful idea will acknowledge that the country you are currently on has a name, and its own language, culture and history. Little Leggs is completely on board with this! Your kids will learn to compromise with each other. The toddler will use the potty. The kids will learn to put their toys away. You will get mor...e free time. You’ll feel less burnt-out. You’ll have the time to exercise and follow your dreams. There won’t be toys everywhere. You won’t be lugging baby bags and car seats everywhere. You won’t need to put yourself last. 05.01.2022 Billy had prep transition this week and this photo of him brings me so much joy I just had to post it. As I was walking into the school with him I asked him if he wanted to hold my hand. His answer was a firm but kind No thanks Mum. He then proceeded to race to the playground to meet up with his kinder buddies. I didn’t get a goodbye as he walked away with his new teacher and classmates. He turned back and looked at me smiling and waving. That’s all you can ask for righ...t? I still shed a few tears. God help me on the first day! He is so ready for his next adventure and I’m excited for him but feeling very emotional! I’m going to make the most of this Summer with my baby boy. No doubt there will be many of us Mum’s consoling each other after the first drop off in the new year. Have you got a little one starting next year? How are you feeling? Jess x
