She was a rescue pup and we have had her since she was 16 weeks old. Chai is four years old and is desexed and chipped. She is a beautiful, friendly dog who is great around kids and my three adore her. She loves tummy rubs and ear tickles. She is ok with other dogs but not all, her best buddy is our neighbour's dog. She probably isn't great with cats but is learning to hang out with our guinea pigs. She knows a few tricks and is sort of trained. She is used to having someone home with her during the day, but is also ok being home alone. She gets super excited to see us, and loves being around people. She can jump high so needs a fenced yard. She also runs super fast but is pretty good at staying in the yard until called. We taught her to chase birds, mostly to keep ducks out of the pool. She isn't a big fan of water but will tolerate a wash with the hose, though you have to trick her because she knows as soon as you get the shampoo.. She likes going for walks and playing soccer with the kids. She loves just hanging with us. 01.01.2022 <3 LAST LITTER PROGRAM <3 Little Legs currently has availability for a canine litter to make use of the program. For those who are not aware as to what that is, in short, it is ensuring this is your dog's last litter, and the pups do not produce litters either. The litter is surrendered to us and we will then provide all their required care and vet work (including desexing, vaccinations and microchip) prior to rehoming them.... We will also pay for your own dog, the dam/mother of the litter, to be desexed at one of our vets. We understand that this can be a high cost for some so we are offering a solution to assist. When she is comfortable, Coco will smooch and purr like a champion when receiving those head rubs or scratches she loves, but she really doesn't appreciate being picked up and squished! Coco is completely deaf and this means she can be easily startled at times. It can be necessary to approach her with some vibration (like stomping) or hand waving to gain her attention. She does the cutest head rolling to see what is happening around her because she can't hear. Coco uses her litter tray perfectly, isn't fussy with food and is generally a low maintenance lady. Unlike many deaf cats, Coco is not overly vocal. She loves napping and eating, a few pats and her favourite chair. Coco will still play if engaged - she just loves chasing a laser pointer on the wall! Coco grew up with a doggie companion, so should be fine in a home with dogs, she is however selective with other cats. Coco seems to have a preference for the company of ladies - she is not overly fussed with the attention of the boys in her foster home, but seems to have an affinity with her foster mum and teenage daughter. Coco would make a lovely companion for someone - perhaps in a quieter home - where her deafness isn't going to cause her too much stress with surprises. She is a sweet lady who really leans into those head scratches and just wants to desperately to be loved on her terms. Being deaf and white, Coco must be an indoor cat - she has always been indoors and shows no interest in escaping to the dangers of the outside world.
