24.01.2022 WHAT has your journey looked like to get to where you are today? I started my business way back in 2013, 1st July to be precise, clean-cut new FY, cos that's the kind of girl I am Right up until 7th March 2020 when I went full-time #girlboss, @littleluxe.co was my side hustle, it started out as an admin support business for just a few clients which earnt me a few extra $$'s whilst at uni and starting off my career ... I then decided working full time and doing admin support (#virtualassistants weren’t a big thing back then!) was not enough so I added on a gifting component to my business in 2018 (yas I am that person that manages to make myself busy allll the time!) When you need something done, give it to a busy person And so here we are today in 2020, just before this uncertain time I made the leap from Human Resources Manager to going full time in my business - for so many reasons, but I will leave that story for another day For those that don't know me well, I hope this gives you some insight into my journey and how I have grown my business over many years - my skills & capabilities have been cemented with 9 years of admin experience across varying industries along with a B.Comm in HR & Management plus 5 years in HR So that is me in a nutshell... what does your business journey look like? It is important at times like these to reflect and see just how many speedbumps you have been over to get here today, along with celebrating the wins! 24.01.2022 DOES the vision, mission & core values of you and your business sparkle through everything you do? Are they helping you to be even more sparkly? Many people will often put these statements into the same bucket as a business plan - the too hard, later when I have more time, I don't really need one basket... The truth is though that you need clarity on these fundamentals to be able to ensure they are engrained into everything you do in your busines...s! These little sparkly words are what summarise your business and how YOU want to do business. Like your business, they evolve and change over time When was the last time you really thought about what you want to bring to your customers, what is the sparkly bits that make you stand out from the others? Join me this week by adding your vision and core values to your to-do list (now is as good of a time as ever, otherwise you will never get around to it!) are you still aligned with your vision and values? I know I will certainly be taking some time this week to clarify, who is with me!

23.01.2022 346% growth in 8 months, yet I barely post on Instagram... As I was thinking last night whilst trying to fall asleep (please tell me I am not the only one that has this issue!) about the Q that keeps popping up IRL & in my DMs of how I have grown my business this year, all the other thoughts popped into my mind so here we go - some of the lessons I learnt last month that I am sure some others need to hear too. Sharing is caring right? 1 Listen to your bodies warning sig...ns... Had I have done this I would have possibly not lost nearly a month worth of productivity - turns out your vision is kind of essential. 2 Show up however best you can manage in that moment of time. For me, my focus and number one peeps are my clients - this relationship is a two-way street. I love my community on the gram, but my clients will always be my first priority - they had my back when I needed them last month like I always have theirs. 3 Stop & celebrate the small wins (plus the big ones) along the way - for me last month, just being able to get a few hours of work done/looking at my computer screen - that was a win for me... doesn't sound huge but it was for me last month! Even whilst I was mostly out of action last month, my business continued to grow, because... referrals! & this is why I am barely on the gram, because it is not the heart centre of my business - my inner circle are & I could not be more grateful. 22.01.2022 WHAT a glorious mess that first 6 months of full-time biz life was It has been bright & colourful with a touch of sparkle and a whole lot of organised (most of the time!) chaos. It has only been this past week that I have really slowed down to create space and reflect on this past 6 months. Everyone's business journey is so different and I am here for it #youdoyouboo ! ... Very much a 'pinch-me' moment upon reflection. What have I learnt over these past 6 months? That I need to give myself more space to grow & not try and do all the things at once That I need to give myself better boundaries, discipline = freedom That I need to reflect more often and celebrate all the little and big things because you blink and they have passed. After going from a corporate environment where I had a team and loved engaging with people (hello being a HR Manager it makes complete sense), I knew I wanted a team of my own again. So I made that happen and couldn't have grown to where I am without these two beautiful souls supporting me and my clients. Was I terrified growing so quickly, hell yes - but if it doesn't scare you the goal isn't big enough. So here we go again - new 6 month goals set and so many exciting ideas in the works (along with my new website finally!) and I am so excited to be working with @stephgorton_ and investing in me #hellogrowth YES to being terrified and excited for this next 6 months ahead. I couldn't have done this without my support network or my beautiful clients, you know who you are

20.01.2022 COMMUNITY and connection Two things that I have found through the gram that has helped me so much in my first year of FT biz life As we start winding down for the year, I wanted to do a shout out to all the small biz babes that have supported me & my biz throughout the year. My heart is so full with the friendships that we have built, the endless support that we provide each other and everything else in between! The solopreneur journey is 10 MILLION TIMES less lonely when... we are all on this ride together. Cheers to the year that was, I know that amazing things are on the horizon for you in 2021

17.01.2022 DOES the thought of looking for a VA have you feeling like you need even more coffee? Is it something that has been sitting on your to do list for ages? But you have no time to look for one, because you are so time poor? I hear ya and I get you. This is the exact same feeling I experienced when looking for support in my own business. I needed help, but looking for the amazing souls I needed to join my team kept falling to the bottom of the to do list too ... Did it help me, my productivity, stress levels and biz growth by putting it off? No. Did I wonder why I didn't do it sooner? Yes! Am I grateful I didn't delay it any longer then I did and MADE time to recruit? Hell yes. I promise you that the small investment of time you spend recruiting someone to support you, WILL pay off 10 fold if not more in time that you gain back and weights being lift off your shoulders Still not convinced and need help finding the perfect team member to join your team, jump into my DMs! 12.01.2022 WORKSPACES Have you spent some time curating a workspace that you love to be in? Throughout the process of completing an office fit out in 2018 for my team, I realised just how important natural light, space and zones and of course plants were in an office! I am definitely no #greenthumb but love the vibe they bring These elements are so important for productivity, focus and of course ensuring that the team had an enjoyable space to be in each day & one the...y wanted to be in Did you know that strong office design can make a worker/employee up to 33% happier AND happier workers/employees experience 31% higher productivity!! And it is so true, when I moved my team into this newly decked out office - well the proof was right there! Now I am not saying that you need to spend a whole lot of on completing an office fit-out (hello I now work from home!), but what I am saying - is your workspace comfortable? 05.01.2022 ARE you feeling tired of doing it all plus trying to pivot at the same time right now? Small biz owners, I see you and I feel you I see you you trying to do the best you can do right now and I feel you because we are all in this together I know that there are so many of you out there at the moment working around the clock trying to work out how to run your business online, working out how you can pivot and make the best of the situation ...we are in. But the cold hard truth is, that as much as we all want to be super, amazing, fantastic, bomb dot com business owners.... we cannot do it all, as much as we tell ourselves we can! 02.01.2022 SUMMER craving // days at the beach, warm evenings, refreshing beverages the list goes on T-minus 6 weeks until I trade my laptop for my sun hat and this @spotifyaunz playlist (which is actually the bom dot com with all my faves on it -it's currently in my ears all day every day getting me through) for days by the actual coast. This Christmas will be the first summer holidays that I get to choose when I want to wrap up for the year and when I want to return to my desk and ...to be honest - I am pretty damn excited about it!
