24.01.2022 So as most of you know. This weekend just gone we did our annual Xmas run. This is something very close to our hearts. This is actually my families charity so we always jump on board. This year we went to Injune. (And I was able to go!!!) We went to Anglicare in Roma on the way out... We dropped some presents of to them for their annual Bike ride for kids in foster care in the area. Then we headed off to Injune. We started at the hospital. Dropped a few goodies off for the ...nurses and doctors and also for the patients. They were gob smacked. We then went to the Injune Early Learning Centre. We had brought some supplies for the centre. Its a little 29 place community run centre. When they saw all of the goodies they were speechless (word has it they are like Mel n I and can talk under water) we even had a few tears. Off to the retirement village next, and made them smile with the goodies we left there. Finally.. we were off to the major event. We set up at the local pool, every child in the area got 2 presents each weather they were there on the day or not. I know this is a long post but if you've read the whole thing. I thank you. And to the families that contributed to the run. I honestly can't say thank you enough!!! We had 157 children and to be able to get 2 presents each for each child is a miracle. If you know me you know how much I love Christmas and the spirit of giving and this is the most amazing experience and makes the rush and doubtof not completing it so worth it. So in short... THANKS to all our MUNCHKIN family.

24.01.2022 8 weeks away! Camping at Kookaburra Park - it's already starting to book out and we don't want to miss out again. (7th of November) Flat Hill and Pine Tree Hill are the only spots that have some space for us so we need to book in quick! Flat Hill is looking like it has lots of room for us! If you are one of our families that are joining us for this weekend please book as soon as you can! There is animal feeding, hiking trails and we can swim in the Mary River(hopefully... it will be nice and warm by then)! 23.01.2022 Have you seen our new foyer display??... We are so in love with the limited edition prints from Super Max & Bryce. We met these guys 2 yrs ago at a conference. And fell in love with what they do. And may have cried at their story and purpose. ... If you are in the hunt for some new socks, keep these guys in mind.

22.01.2022 Whoop whoop!!! A MASSIVE congrates to Mel!!! Apart from finishing her Bach last week. As of yesterday she's been here at Munchkin Land for the past 10yrs!!! I'm sure she's had her highs n lows but thanks for picking us 10yrs ago (not me but munchkins). I dare say you haven't aged a day just got more greys!! (Not from me!!) I've only been here for 5 of your years. But thanks for putting up with us lot for that long!!!... (Not sure how long it will be before she realises theirs more then 1 photo up here of her!! She HATES being this side of the camera)

22.01.2022 Ok last one!!! We like to end the night with a bang!! Tonight was no different. The girls all got personalised educator day shirts today. Gotta love a good feed (makes the girls happy) thanks for having us Mooloolah Valley Country Club. A Massive massive shout out to DUSTYBUTTS!! They organised the girls baskets for us. And last but not least, Thistle in the Woods the girls always LUV your food esp your cupcakes. I dont think I've missed anyone sorry if I have. ... But on a serious note... These girls do so much! I honestly couldn't do it without them. So here to Educators Day 2020!! Thanks girls!!!

22.01.2022 So we are into August!!! This is one of my favourite months!!!! Our monthly goal for this month is.... CHALLENGE ME!! If this means nothing to you. After this week you'll get us. ... But as a part of this month we have 840 badges to make. This is where I have to have a shout out to my Lil Sister. She puts her hand up (i think she forgets what its like) to make the badges for us every year. Also a shout out to Mel who organises the badges. Thanks guys!! I think use are pretty AMAZING.

Suggestions we have had already are Imbil Camping Retreat and Kenilworth Homestead(which is where we went last year, and was so much fun!). 17.01.2022 Dont be alarmed!!! Today we did our monthly fire drill. But today's was a bit different we practiced the entire drill including the walk to the park. We do this twice a year so we can review our Risk Assessment and ensure that we have all the current risks have been checked.

We are going to use the side gate (where the swings are) as our entry and exit points for the next 3 days. We will arrange for the tablet to be around there and an Educator on the gate at peak periods. With the gate being locked during the middle of the day (for safety reasons). Charmaine's Dad has a crazy idea every year that the family and close friends go on a Xmas run to drought effected areas and give presents to the children in these towns. Well this years no different. We don't put much up on our Facebook page because we don't want to flood your page with it. 11.01.2022 Morning everyone, Well the rains diffidently here. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. We will open this morning we will monitor the levels and if it looks like the grey elephant is going to go under we will call it. As you can all appreciate your children are our top priority and well as my teams. I still have to stick to national ratios and if my team need to go because they have water rising we will work out how we are going to approach it. We always celebrate and try to grow awareness of Dravet and we expand our children's knowledge. This afternoon for our popcorn book Miss Kim read Summer's story to help gain awareness of what its like to live with epilepsy.

08.01.2022 A great way to start my week... You would if seen the scarf hanging on my office door. These guys are amazing. We came across them last year. And fell in love with what they do. We didn't get to see them this year so we organised the poster set. Only 100 have been printed and we have big plans for what we are going to do with them!!
