22.01.2022 NOW TAKING EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR 2020 Limited vacancies Located in Griffin Family Day Care... Kindergarten programme available Working in conjunction with Kids at Home Family Day Care who have been rated Exceeding. Our programme is run from my home in a safe and relaxing environment. Under the regulations I am allowed no more than four children under school age in care at any given time, so our groups are small and welcoming. Having a small number of children eases the anxiety of others who are a little unsure of larger groups. Our curriculum is based on PLAY. Through play we focus on enhancing the children’s self help skills to ensure they have the skills required to enable them a successful transition into primary school. We also work on building a strong literacy and numeracy foundation, whilst also exploring zoology, science and other areas that are of interest to the little ones. Little Ones Early Learning has been operating since 2006. I have my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, Certificate 3 in Modern Montessori and am currently in my third year of studying the Bachelor of Early Education 0-5. I have undertaken a wide variety of courses around ASD and I am also an ASD mum. I am more than happy to forward a copy of our parent handbook to you, which runs through our programme in more detail. If you would like a handbook or to book a classroom visit, please send a PM or email [email protected]. 16.01.2022 Her dad found a snake skin amongst the wood pile tonight. She quickly started researching what sort of snake it belongs to. Learning just doesn’t happen between 9-3. We have finally reached the stage in our unschooling journey where she is learning because she wants to, about topics that interest her. #homeschool #homeschoollife #nature #snakeskin #handsonlearning #makinglearningfun #naturejournal

03.01.2022 When the milk runs out of date we use it for science experiments. Today we explored colour changing milk. Milk is mainly made of water and the other big ingredient is usually fat (not all milk has the same amount of fat). The dish soap bonds with the fat in the milk. This bond is so strong that the water and food colouring are pushed out. The swirling effect is everything else moving around to make room for the dish soap and fat bond. #science #milkexperiment #earlychildcare #earlychildhoodeducation #earlychildhoodeducator #handsonlearning #makinglearningfun #makinglearningvisible #homeschool #familydaycare #melscience @kidsathomefdc
