22.01.2022 2019 was a bit of a blur. When I look back on it and I think that I was so unproductive. @stayoutofwestfootscray always shakes his head at that thought and reminds me of how much I really did accomplish. No better place to leave a reminder of all the cool things I’ve made than in my #visualjournal Rewind to my favourite #top10 creations that weren’t posted. In no particular order... I picked this chair up second hand. The fabric needed a bit of an update (scroll through fo...r a peak) I was able to find a 1.2m long off-cut in a fabric store bargain bin for $5. Love a deal! I unstitched the original fabric pieces to use as a pattern. It’s super comfy and reclines. 21.01.2022 Rewind of my favourite #top10 from 2019 #two Change brings change. My creative space has transformed, shifted and moved more than a few times this past year. @stayoutofwestfootscray and I repurposed plywood peg boards, we had made for my market stall, to create a storage wall. 19.01.2022 Rewind to projects from 2019... continued. When @stayoutofwestfootscray and I moved into our home we couldn’t agree on chairs that were comfortable, affordable and fit our eclectic mashing of style. I love to take old things and make them new again... this passion has spread through the house and it’s occupants . One of our first projects was our dining chairs. We were lucky enough to find 14 chairs at @grandfathers_axe warehouse. Four of the chairs are a different style... and continue to sit in our garage waiting for some much needed tlc, while the other 10 (these beauties) have finally been completed. We chose japan black stain with black cowhide to recover the seat. We used three coats of stain to create a deep black while still letting the natural grain come through. The seat also has new foam from @clark.rubber which just adds to the comfort of these beauties. Patience is key for us when we do our projects because life is busy and it’s easy to want to rush to completion BUT enjoying the journey and reaping the benefits at the end is worth it.
