22.01.2022 We're so pleased and super excited to officially offer our limited release Little River Pickers / 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is something really special. NOW AVAILABLE. https://www.littleriverwines.com.au//little-river-pickers/... Good ruby red colour intensity. The nose opens up to ripe cherries and forest fruits with a light spice from the wood. Pickers is an elegant, matured mid weight wine with soft balanced tannins. It has super persistence of flavour indicating good longevity. Decant this wine and drink it with a Filet Mignon, Venison carpaccio, a good burger or a bitey cheddar cheese.

19.01.2022 Things in the vineyard have really kicked off. We have full blown bud burst across the Chardonnay & Pinot Noir while the Cabernet Sauvignon is just progressing from woolly bud stage. This is approximately two weeks earlier than last year, so we are keeping our fingers crossed & hoping for no late frosts. We are also working on increasing the plantings in our insectarium area. This is a area set aside to host any beneficial insects in the vineyard. We encourage them to eradica...te/control our pest insects, thus reducing the need for chemical spray control. Hoverflies, native bees & parasitic wasps are our allies at this time of year. Natural fertilisers have been applied along with some required trace elements. A cocktail of goodies including Kelp extract, Fish emulsion, poultry manure pellets, any other yummy bits & pieces. A good nourishing feed for the vines. Our deer control program has been stepped up with regular patrols but at this stage there is not a problem. We hope it stays that way. Keep safe, Chris & Phil. See more

04.01.2022 We wait all year for our beautiful Crab Apple tree to bloom, the vibrant colour lasts just a week or two but my word is it worth the wait. Best admired with a glass of 'Little River 2017 Estate Chardonnay' in hand.
