22.01.2022 VICTORIAN CHIEF HEALTH OFFICER MESSAGE TO PARENTS I am writing to Victorian parents, carers and students today to seek every familys support in slowing the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Victoria. As the school holidays approach, we cant ease up on looking after ourselves and our families. The only thing between us and a second wave is what we do next. Wherever you go, please be mindful of the risks. Be aware others may be carrying the virus and practice physical dist...ancing. We are currently experiencing the highest case numbers weve seen in more than two months. Current evidence suggests that the rise in case numbers in Victoria is being driven by families having get-togethers and not following advice around physical distancing and hygiene. Unfortunately, we are still in a pandemic and peoples lives are still at risk. As weve seen across the world, this virus has the ability to turn a small number of cases into hundreds in a matter of days. This is not where we want to be and we must all act now while we can. This is why weve had to implement a number of revised restrictions. The number of visitors you can have at your home is now reduced to five. Outside the home, families and friends can meet in groups up to ten. This is how each and every member of the community can help: Stay safe while out in the community. Stay safe at home. And that means only seeing those you need to. Dont have big family gatherings and remember to keep your distance and maintain good hygiene. Dont share food or drinks. If you, or anyone in your family is feeling unwell stay at home. Dont visit friends and family. Dont go on holiday if you are unwell and dont go to work. Dont send your kids to school, childcare or kindergarten if they are unwell - stay home. And if you have symptoms, get tested. The vast majority of Victorians are doing the right thing, but this is a wake-up call and we cannot be complacent. Its up to all of us to keep our friends and families safe. For current information and updates on coronavirus (COVID-19) visit the Victorian Governments coronavirus website. If anyone in your family has any of the symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), however mild, they should stay at home, seek advice and get tested. These symptoms include fever, chills or sweats, a cough, a sore throat, shortness of breath or runny nose, or loss of sense of smell or taste. For more information about where to get tested visit the getting tested for coronavirus web page. If youre concerned yourself or a family member has contracted the virus and need more information, please call the 24-hour coronavirus hotline on 1800 675 398. Adj Clin Prof Brett Sutton Victorian Chief Health Officer

11.01.2022 After careful consideration (and two days of trialling the change) we have decided to switch our Pre-Kinder and Kinder learning environments over to ensure that each child is getting the most out of their Educational program at LittleSaints. With our expanding numbers in our Pre-Kinder Room, moving to the larger room will create more opportunities to extend on current interest and learning strategies. As most of our Kinder children move to school in January, the smaller class room will allow children to focus on their School Readiness in a more intimate environment, with a focus on social skills and self help, to ensure each child is ready for the next chapter of their education journey. If you would like more information or have any questions, pop in to the office, PM or call 59402533 - Jaqui

07.01.2022 Exciting News: As many of you may have noticed, something major has been in the works for the last 12 months just a couple of doors down from us..and NOW it is with great excitement that we announce that in only a few weeks we will be relocating to our BRAND NEW designed centre This service has been designed to an extremely high level and will allow us to continue to provide all of our children the perfect environment for them to thrive in a new learning space.... Our outdoor environment has three dedicated play spaces for each child to explore. They are all designed to represent a more sustainable outdoor play area, consisting of natural elements with nature being the key focus. Our indoor environment has been allocated into 6 individual rooms for particular age groups, these consist of two kinder rooms, two toddler rooms and two nursery rooms, with the nursery rooms featuring their very own dedicated sleep room. As the longest operating service in town, our current service has functioned well for us over the last 10+ years, but the time came for us to invest into a new beginning! Although it’s a new learning space, we will continue to offer our warm nurturing environment, where children engage in a play based curriculum, focusing on individual children’s needs, interest’s and developmental milestones. This will be delivered by our friendly experienced educators who will endeavor to help guide your children into striving to be the best possible version of themselves. In the coming weeks we will be organising individual Centre tours, so please, if you are interested in seeing our lovely new service contact our Centre director Emma Heyward on 59402533.
