21.01.2022 Another lockdown has been announced so we are closing tonight and hopefully reopening on Thursday! This means that all groups that were supposed to run during this time have to be cancelled, so sorry about that!! I can still send out online orders and will be adding some new things to the shop, and we are giving the online shop a bit of work and making the menus easier to use (hopefully!) So we will see you on the other side of lockdown, stay safe and well fellow Melbourni...ans! Social distancing, sanitising and limited numbers in the shop are the go, but I think that’s happening everywhere at the moment. It’s Melbourne Cup weekend here, so we will be open today (Saturday) then shut Sunday, open Monday 10-4pm, and Closed on Tuesday for the Cup Day holiday. I love the chalkiness of the colours in the Moya hand dyed cotton, they all work so well together and are lovely to crochet or knit with. 18.01.2022 Sunday morning knitting, I’ve started an Oslo Hat by @petiteknit for @maximooyarns using some of his yarn, I love how it’s turning out so far! The colours are much earthier than I usually use and it’s lovely to have a change. He wants it for the market next weekend, one good thing about lockdown - I might actually be able to get it finished in time! Enjoy your Sunday peeps! 12.01.2022 Brioche knitting gorgeousness! Mel knitted this beautiful cowl over the weekend, it’s so pretty in @spunrightround DK in The Unmentionables and Cascade 220 SW in beige. 10.01.2022 Hello Monday! It’s a beautiful morning here, after a very wet and chilly weekend so I’m feeling grateful. I finished 2 #azurinecowl (a lovely @ambahobrien pattern) over the long weekend, which is pretty good going for me! I love making these little cowls and seeing how the mohair changes the colours. I used @spunrightround Jubilee in the front one and @maximooyarns First kiss in the back one with a dusty pink mohair, they need a block and then they are done. I’m still... not sure when we will be able to open the shop, I think Nov 1 is the official day, but I’ve heard we might be able to open later this week, a few days earlier than the 1st. I’ll let you know as soon as I do, cannot wait to get the shop open again and see all your lovely faces again ( even if they are covered with a mask!) I am partial to cute things, and have a small collection of sonny angels and other frivolous things that remind me of being a child. My boys are lovely and give them to me for my birthday and what not. I also have a little collection of @amandabanhamceramics gorgeous village houses, I love adding to my little town every now and again. I think the Sonny angels and litt...le houses look lovely together and it always makes me smile when I walk past this. One day if I ever have grandchildren and they are very good I might let them play with my cute things! I also collect cook books.
