25.01.2022 Great Way To Explain Corona Virus To Kids
25.01.2022 Happy Mothers Day.
24.01.2022 Early Childhood Educators Day recognises and celebrates the work of Australias educators in early learning services for their wonderful contribution to the wellbeing and healthy development of the young children in their care. Its a chance to say thank you to Australias early childhood educators on a very personal level by service operators, families and their children, as well as collectively at the national level.
23.01.2022 During science week the Toddlers favourite experiment was creating a Volcano. Look at the excitement on their faces as they watched the liquid Bubble out the top of the volcano bottle!
23.01.2022 When you notice the signs someone is struggling, take the time to ask R U OK? If they say theyre not OK make time to listen, encourage action and check in. Remember, theres more to say after R U OK? Learn what to say next at www.ruok.org.au
23.01.2022 Literacy development is learning about sounds, words and language. Literacy is the basis for your childs ability to read, write, communicate and socialize. You can develop your childs early literacy by communicating with your child, reading, and playing with rhyme. Nursery and Toddler children thoroughly enjoyed story time.
22.01.2022 To finish off week one of the school holidays today we ventured to white rock bush walking. Thank you to the parents who volunteered their time to come with us today! We all enjoyed spotting the wildlife and exploring the rocks. We walked to little white rock as the big one was way toooo far for the children. We all enjoyed picnic lunch when we arrived back to the buses before heading back to the centre to cool down. We have another big week planned next week with lots of exciting excursions. Have a great weekend.
22.01.2022 Vacation care is in full swing with their first outing at Kholo botanical gardens. The children enjoyed spotting a variety of insects, lizards and reptiles when we went for a walk around the walking tracks. A Bbq lunch before coming back to the centre and enjoying some quiet time to wind down. There are still places available if you’d like to book your school aged children in. Please call the centre on 0738100700.

16.01.2022 Today was meant to be my sons 5th birthday party but, thanks to Covid-19, instead of spending the day eating cake with friends, we spent it alone trying to gra...pple with the news that in the next 48 hours Victoria will shut down all non-essential services. For families like ours that depend on casual work in the hospitality industry to pay the bills, this is scary. Really scary. So what did I do in the face of such a crisis?! I tucked myself in our wardrobe and I recorded an audio story about a little possum who stays home. I wrote this story a couple of days ago for my little boy, trying to explore the themes of social distancing and isolation in a way that was gentle, warm and not scary. When I read it to my partner right after I wrote it he looked at me and said "You have to share this." I didnt think much of it at the time, but in the face of feeling such powerlessness, sharing this story at least feels like I am doing something, even if its only something very small. It is my hope that this story might provide a speck of comfort and light for families like ours about to do it really tough. Please stay safe, friends. (Press play to listen and make sure your volume is on. Feel free to share. Free print and audio versions are available at wildheartsplay.com)
16.01.2022 BREAKING: Heres our back to school plan for Queensland students. Students in Kindy, Prep, Year 1, Year 11 and Year 12 will return to school on May 11, while s...tudents in Years 2 to 10 will continue remote learning at home. We will review the situation on May 15, with the goal to return the remaining students on May 25 if low COVID-19 transmission rates continue. Children of essential workers and vulnerable children are still able to attend school. A sensible and gradual return is only possible because of Queenslands success in slowing the spread of COVID-19. Compare our efforts to what has happened in other parts of the world and Queenslanders should feel very proud. Keep up the good work! #coronavirus

10.01.2022 Today in Nursery we loved exploring our senses. Jay liked to feel the soft fluffy feathers first and then we used the feathers to do some painting so that he could feel the cool slimy texture. He was amazed at how it felt and as babies do would try and explore it with his mouth. He would run the feathers through his fingers and when his Educator would use the feather to tickle his cheek to show him how soft it was, Jay would smile and giggle with delight. What a lovely learning experience. We still have some places available in our Nursery. We would love to show you around and have you come for a tour. (07) 38100700.
06.01.2022 Senior toddlers created a rainbow! Would you like to try this one at home? Grab some skittles and give it a try! Arrange the Skittles in a single row coloured pattern around the edge of the plate. Pour over enough warm water to cover all the Skittles and the plate itself. Watch and wait as a rainbow appears on the plate, the colours will move towards the middle and create a whirl of colour.
05.01.2022 Last week was science week and all of the children and Educators created some amazing experiences. Senior toddlers enjoyed some messy play with bubbles mixed so much it created foam! They were amazed to watch the white flowers turn different colours within hours! We have limited spaces available in our senior toddlers room so book now for a tour and secure your place. 0738100700
03.01.2022 Our new playground is now open! Thank you to Package Landscapes for working alongside us to create this amazing result.
02.01.2022 Over the past few weeks the Senior Toddlers have been learning all about camping. They created their very own pretend camp fire and then the Educators slowly added items to the area such as camp chairs, a blow up bed and then they discovered cooking equipment you can use while camping and even washed up their own dishes! Today they were all very engaged with Miss Jess helping her put together a bbq. They will continue next week with Marshmellows to roast on their campfire.
