25.01.2022 Thank you, Camps Australia Wide, for the write-up after spending a lovely afternoon at Little Yabba Park! https://www.campsaustraliawide.com/4-reasons-to-go-camping/

24.01.2022 Last Sunday, I found campfire ash thrown onto the green vegetation by the bank of the creek. I poured water onto it and it was still steaming..I then asked the campers to make sure it was properly extinguished before they left as I didn't want any bushfires. They were adamant that it was already out. I think campers really need to educate themselves a bit more... read below:

23.01.2022 Just a heads up folks! Little Yabba Rest Area is remaining CLOSED for overnight camping until SCRC and Police assess it’s suitability. Day picnics, and walks along the Giant Strangler Fig Tree boardwalk are still permitted. Relax and enjoy the park although please do not camp overnight! If you are looking for a spot to camp there are numerous private campgrounds as well as National Park facilities near by.... Thanks. See more

20.01.2022 It’s no wonder that the younger generations have a bad reputation. They are illiterate, can’t count and are disrespectful to other campers. This group are camped underneath a sign that says CAMPING PERMITTED - 1 NIGHT ONLY and their time has passed, but they’re still here with their loud music, day and night, scaring off other campers and not giving others a turn. #sunshinecoastcouncil #littleyabbapark #onenightonly #respect

19.01.2022 Fire ban is still current. Please use the two electric BBQs, on site, for all your cooking needs.

18.01.2022 Never dump your ash and think it's fine. Always bring extra water with you if you're going to have a campfire. Please note: there are no taps at Little Yabba Park except for the tap (with the tiny watertank) at the toilets for handwashing only.

17.01.2022 Sunshine Coast Council informed us today that the Little Yabba Rest Area is now OPEN for ONE NIGHT ONLY stays. However, the public BBQs remain closed, until further notice. Please remember to follow the COVID SAFE rules and enjoy the wintry cold, sunny days out in the magnificent Sunshine Coast hinterland! Happy camping!

04.01.2022 Camping at Little Yabba is CLOSED to holiday and weekend tourists etc etc PLEASE STAY IN YOUR SUBURB or TOWN!!! Please do not travel. Camp in your back yard if you really want to camp for the night whilst restrictions are in place. There should be no one, I repeat NO ONE camping at this site due to the federal& state government restriction orders.... Penalties Apply. If you are a grey nomad or live in your van or tent you are required to go to designated registered caravan park and stay put with no non-essential outings/driving. Below is a copy of place closures with the exemptions on the right. Stay at home. Stay safe. And DO NOT TRAVEL INTO THE COUNTRY thinking you are safe/isolating as you could be that very special person to infect others and not knowing it until you’ve done the damage and gone back to your home on the coast or in the city. 01.01.2022 Hi all! Just a heads up! Camping is still NOT PERMITTED at Little Yabba Park as well as all other campsites in Queensland at this point in time.Day picnics only whilst following the restriction requirements. At this stage the strictly overnight/one night only camping at this site is due to resume the 12th June. It is very unfortunate that some people think these government restrictions do not apply to them and they are exempt and decide to go set up camp overnight before the... restrictions are lifted. Sorry, but what rock do they live under usually not to know the camping restrictions in force? Please don’t be selfish and spoil it for everyone else. Stay at your home overnight until the 12th June!
