25.01.2022 I got my Essential footwear for this Fridays fun!! Wonder what theme Miss L has chosen for her birthday party this Friday...
24.01.2022 After 3 months away the Littlies return tomorrow! The latest addition to our outdoor environment has arrived this afternoon, just in time!!
24.01.2022 Tea Party Tuesday!! I received this beautiful tea set for Mothers Day and the tea party we had as a family that day is a precious memory that we created together and the kids are still talking about it fondly. Miss A was telling 2 of the Littlies about our family tea party last week and showed them my tea set. ... We then planned our tea party Tuesday for today. Miss A requested homemade ham and cheese scrolls, Master L requested jelly and Miss L requested fairy bread. Today I felt lucky to share my tea set with 2 of the Littlies! We had a beautiful tea party with lots of giggles and fun and created another great memory for all! Dont keep those precious items in a cupboard the memories you can create using them are far more precious.
23.01.2022 Our highly anticipated troop of chimp figurines have arrived today!! 1 to represent each of the chimps at our local zoo and also 2 extra figurines of the 2 baby chimps so the Littlies can play with them singularly or as mum and baby. The Littlies have been regularly talking out the chimps since celebrating world chimp day on July 14.
22.01.2022 Friday Families! Dont forget to bring the Littlies gumboots and a spare change of clothes tomorrow
21.01.2022 https://www.facebook.com/69731837262/posts/10157525550817263/?d=n Saw this the other day and thought what a great idea! we have created our own battery recycling drop off here!... So Liv n Littlies families when you finally give in to the kids nagging and replace the batteries in their annoyingly noisy toys bring the old batteries here for our recycling container rather than the bin, so we can drop them off to a collection centre and they can be turned in to new batteries! ** I have used a medicine child proof storage container as the battery container and it will stored out of childs reach**

21.01.2022 After our original farewell party was a non-event, we got to have Master J here as a special visitor for a couple of hours this morning as we couldnt close the chapter of 4.5 years as a Littlie without 1 last play and fun at Liv n Littlies. Decorations and balloons all set up this morning in Master Js favourite colour - green! Master Js choice of activities were play dough, a play outside ( including obstacle course, hide and seek and playing with the fellow Littlie...s) and then showing Liv how he can draw his favourite number blocks! Thanks for joining us today Master J!!
20.01.2022 I am incredibly privileged to observe the children as they create, draw and learn every day. It was wonderful to watch little Miss not quite 3 as she drew her Daddy today.. Heres Daddys eyes! Daddys shoes Daddys hair and Daddys hands!... Oohh.. and Daddys mouth .. and little Miss 3.5 yesterday who was delighted as she drew dots on her creation and was ecstatic to discover a few of them looked like spiders. Spider!! Hope the Daddys love their gifts created by their Littlies this Sunday! ... I am proud of the Littlies who have had very little input and help from me with this years gifts See more
19.01.2022 You know your big kid at Liv n Littlies when you can safely ride the cozy coupe down the hill and most importantly know to put your feet down to stop! Well done to our 2 youngest Littlies who arrive at the bottom of the hill with massive ear to ear smiles knowing that they have stopped at the bottom themselves without Liv having to stop them safely.
19.01.2022 Pass the Panda game Its a great fun game! Suitable from around the age of 4 and up. Usually a pretty quick game too!
17.01.2022 We have been using our basil and mint from our garden for our outdoor mud kitchen and today the Littlies once again requested play dough... soo... today to extend on the Littlies interest in the herbs I added basil to 1 batch of play dough and vanilla essence to another. We explored our sense of smell, smelling both of the play doughs .. Oohh.. it smells a bit like ice cream... I love ice cream, can I please smell it? .. Oohh it does smell like ice cream Its like our Basil from the garden, but looks different Can I put more in my play dough?? Me too! We also discussed savoury and sweet foods as we explored the play dough. Whilst playing outside earlier our neighbouring Littlie was watching intently through a gap in the fence, as she often does, so we decided to make a 3rd batch of pink play dough today and asked her grandparent if it was ok to give it so she could play with play dough too.
17.01.2022 As Flu season continues during the COVID-19 pandemic it is incredibly important that we dont become complacent and continue to each play our part and ensure we are staying home when unwell and keeping our Littlies at home if displaying any of the usual symptoms of contagious illnesses. As per the reminder scheme emails sent to all on the 31st July. This is not an issue that I will be complacent about and it is my duty of care to your family and mine. ... Thanks everyone for you understanding and support during these unprecedented times.
17.01.2022 Today Master J picked up the green sheep toy and said Liv!, its the green sheep!, Wheres the book? So being lead by Master Js interest today.. we all read Where is the green sheep? book together with Miss A reading the words to the book as we all took turns to match the sheep on the cards to each sheep in the book. When we reached the end of the book there was no green sheep. Where is the green sheep?? The Littlies then searched the outdoor environment to find the... green sheep. Where was the green sheep? He was asleep in our garden, under the pumpkin plant! Miss L then ensured the green sheep wasnt left out of her sight for the rest of the day. See more
16.01.2022 Often Im learning too! ...... Conversation with Master L on the way back in the car this morning.... M.L: Liv!, whats 20 + 2?... Me: 20 + 2 = 22 M.L: No, Liv!, your forgetting something! Me: I am? M.L: yep! 20 + 2 is 11 + 11!, thats 2 football teams 22! Me: ok, I was forgetting that. See more
16.01.2022 Today its just Master J and I! Master J has been telling me all about the new addition to his family Diesel!, hes black! ... So we have been reading some cat books, discussing how to look after Diesel. He eats cat food Liv... He has a cat toilet Master J quickly spotted a cat that looks like Diesel in the cat figurines ( luckily for some quick thinking this morning.. I may of coloured 1 in with a Nikko so I had a black cat like Diesel phew!!) Master J also lined up the cats and counted them and coloured in a cat picture its Diesel Liv! We also couldnt miss our Wednesday ritual of Master J waving to the rubbish truck.
16.01.2022 Love Family Day Care The Littlie’s noticed that we got some new pegs for our clothes line and wanted to try them out, so I set up an activity with the pegs, clothes airer and the dolls clothes. Apart from the usual routine breaks the Littlie’s have been engaged in this activity for most of the day! This activity is great for our fine motor skills and developing our little hands as well as life skills! ... The best toys are always everyday household items!! wonder if I can extend on this to have them hang my real washing on the outside line
15.01.2022 Beautiful way to explain autism. The common conception is that people with Autism view the world differently, but I know an amazingly beautifully Littlie who has taught me to view the world differently. Some days I now stop and take the time to slow down and take the world around us in from their perspective. We often now lay down on the grass and stare up at the sky to see the clouds floating by.

11.01.2022 Today was to be the last day at Liv n Littlies for my eldest Littlie who has been here for over 4 years. Master J started here as a 5 month old bubba arriving to care early in the morning with a sleepy smile on his face and quickly adapted to all the chaos and other older kids around him and from that moment on the months and years flew by with Master Js desire and determination to explore and follow the others, his incredible eagerness to engage and hunger to learn no m...atter what obstacles were thrown his way has been an absolute privilege to be apart of and witness. Unfortunately in true 2020 style today the universe had other plans for our final day together here and weve missed out on our fun and farewell today, but oh what fun we have had! I will miss our funny games we did together- Our freeze, stop, go, fast, slow game that Master J and I would play together and listening to his big giggle as he said fast! as I got close to a door or wall just so I would run in to it. Master J singing shoo fly, bumble bee! and then looking at me giggling waiting for me to correct the words. Showing me his latest trick watch what I can do Liv! Following me around counting excitedly showing me his incredible ability to count to 100 already and more recently reciting sums that I have to even stop and think about the answer to! Its been an amazing opportunity for me and privilege to watch Master J grow from a 5 month old bubba to the amazing 4.5 year old he has become. Master J thank you to you and your family for joining us here at Liv n Littlies! As this chapter closes your amazing hunger for learning and total love for numbers and letters will take you far!...I cant wait to see and hear about where life takes you! Its times to be on your way, oh the places you will go! You will move mountains!
10.01.2022 Happy Lefthanders Day!!
10.01.2022 Today started with Master L and Miss L requesting to play with the fish again... We set up our fish pond, complete with our 20 fish, 4 snappy crocodiles, camp chairs, fishing rods, umbrella and an esky for our fishing catch.. It was a relaxing time by the fish pond ..... Until... Master J jumped in as captain as of the boat and yelled out watch out Liv! ... Im gonna get you! .... uh oh! Master J was headed straight for our fish pond!! Everyone else gathered up the fish and crocodiles and jumped into the boat too! Captain J took us to safety .. where did we go?? .. TO NANNYS HOUSE!! ...... Master L could then see up ahead of us some T-Rex eggs on an island that we had to rescue, Miss L joined Master L in rescuing the eggs and bringing them back to the boat, whilst Miss N fished for the green fish from the side of the boat. We were then being chased by the very angry Mummy T-Rex and had to sail off in the boat very very fast! Captain J took us back to safety which was of course back to Nannys House. There was a short debate on whos Nannys house we were actually at before all deciding on mutual ground of Livs house! All the Littlies extended on the imaginative play as a group sharing their own individual ideas to contribute to the experience.
10.01.2022 The Littlies have discovered that Phils latest makeover of our outdoor mud kitchen includes a fully functioning tap! ** we are capturing the water in a pot below to use to water our garden area** In our everyday routine we regularly discuss the importance to save water.
09.01.2022 Our daily drives to school drop off and pick up often spark the Littlies curiosity with things we see along the way. On our daily commute for quite some time now we have been watching the progress of the new road that is being constructed beside the current highway. The machinery and equipment in operation often trigger excitement from the Littlies and most Littlies are now able to name what each machine is ........... Then 1 day a few weeks ago .. the curious question was asked what the small green and yellow shaped little building along the way were ..... The portable toilets! ... this discovery sparked total fascination from the Littlies!.... now along the way very little attention is focused on the machinery.... we now count how many porta-loos there are. The current answer is 5 at the moment and when discussing with both Little Ls today on what we should add to our set up the Porta-loos were 1 of the first things mentioned. Seeing the world through the eyes of a child fascinates me everyday
06.01.2022 ‘Andy’s Wild Workouts’ on ABCiview..... Lots of giggles trying out these workouts! Abbey loved the chicken one and the Arctic fox one.
06.01.2022 Being crazy and deliberately pretending to run in to things or fall over.... or reading a book in a crazy voice... or dancing crazy with the kids ALWAYS brings out the big belly laughs from the kids.
06.01.2022 Super Littlies are here today!!
05.01.2022 Happy First Day of Spring! Today we tended to our garden, Master L watered the pumpkin plant and excitedly counted 9 small pumpkins growing. Miss H watered the capsicum and the herbs.... Miss L watered the flowers and swept the garden area. Liv watered the mandarin tree. Then we checked the bug hotel to see if any visitors had checked in for a stay. Im no gardener!, so I am thankful that we are able to continue this experience!!
04.01.2022 Happy Birthday Miss L!! Today we celebrated Miss Ls birthday.... Miss Ls request was a Peppa pig party, with pink cupcakes and Livs ham and cheese scrolls. ... Its not a Peppa Pig party without mud! So...Most of the morning was spent jumping in muddy puddles and then we used flour, corn flour, cocoa and water to make our own mud. 1 of the Littlies was quite deterred by the girls party and all the pink, but after 2 mins of fun in the mud announced This is the best day ever!! Hope you had a fun day Miss L!

Just receiving the email notifications advising that people have taken the time to submit their nominations makes me feel truly blessed and honoured. Thank you for your support, I am incredibly lucky to have great support from my enrolled families and my own family who share their home and enable me to do a job I love. ... Unfortunately the notification email is all the info I receive, so Thanks again to those who have nominated me.
03.01.2022 Littlie Miss H insisted I put the hulk glove on.... I now may have both Littlie’s Miss L and Miss H convinced that the hulk glove is stuck on my hand... They are now working together using their problem solving skills to work out an effective way to remove the hulk glove. I’m a little bit scared of Miss L’s next solution for the problem as she is currently searching for the bandages in the dress up box .... ... I think the glove may have to miraculously come off soon See more
02.01.2022 Uh oh!! Our cubby house is on fire. I need the Littlies help! Continuing our fire safety this week with a bit of fun too!
02.01.2022 Yesterday we celebrated world Chimpanzee day! We are incredibly fortunate to have a troop of Chimps at our local zoo!! We discussed as a group our experiences and memories of visiting the chimps at the zoo, Watched the zoo keepers talk about the Chimps and found pictures of each of the chimps for our display. We then coloured in our own pics of a chimp. ... Miss L then requested we have another chimp day again today! So we researched and learned more about chimps today - we watched a preview to a Disneynature chimpanzee movie about a little chimp named Oscar and made our own chimp masks. Such amazing animals for us to visit in our local community including the very cute little chimps Capri and Gandali!
02.01.2022 Each day the Littlie’s like to see what earrings I am wearing and they even put requests in for the following day!! I know I will definitely be ordering more!
