19.01.2022 A message to all our valued patients. Biomechanical Podiatry at the Live Active Clinic Annandale remains open and available to continue providing health care, even in these challenging times. The Podiatry team here believes it is important that we remain available to assist our patient base and the wider community with all lower limb concerns in an effort to alleviate the need to present to a Hospital or General Practitioner.... Our clinic operations have been substantially modified to cater for the implementation of significant COVID-19 precautions and we encourage you to read about these measures on our website, or feel free to call us to ask about these recent changes. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you might have or to discuss any of your treatment concerns. Kind Care and Regards, The Live Active Team

19.01.2022 Not all shoes are made equal. Here Verity Wright describes the important features to check for when selecting a supportive running shoe.

17.01.2022 After a surreal 4 weeks, Live Active Chiropractic is returning to practice next week. Rob, Ellen and myself are looking forward to joining the Podiatrists and continuing our care for you in clinic. The actions of the community, and the way Australians have responded to the current climate, have encouraged us to take this action. With safety in mind, we have increased levels of hygiene protocol to match our podiatrists. We will be spacing out appointments to reduce traffic i...n the waiting room and to ensure the health of our patients. As we open Face to Face appointments in practice, we will still offer our Telehealth consults to ensure continued access to our support, in a way that you feel comfortable with. I’d like to personally thank all of our patients for their understanding at this time. We look forward to returning, and we will continue to update you with Government advice and new directives as they come to hand. Jack

07.01.2022 Many of us are embracing the walk or even the run while the gym is closed and sports are on hold Never run before and out giving it a bash? Here are some KEY things to consider when starting to run:... Ensure you can WALK without pain before running Be sure to commit some of your time to stretching before and AFTER your run Avoid running consecutive days at a time, allow time for muscle and cell recovery Use the correct FOOTWEAR for running Cross Train, mixing up running for low level strength and functional activity will assist in your endeavor For a plan specific to you, consulting with one of our Podiatrists can add a lot of comfort to your run.

05.01.2022 At Live Active Clinic more people have been reporting a sore or tight lower back. Perhaps from long hours spent seated at a computer or a poor home office set-up. Check out three easy to follow stretches presented by podiatrist Verity Wright.
