19.01.2022 LiveBetter Transport Services have partnered with Transport for NSW to provide free transport for families to the Playtime Preschool in Broken Hill. The new program helps support families who may not have access to transport, so far helping over 134 people We’re seeing children we would not normally see, and regular attendance is happening a bit more with some of those children so that is really good news. 18.01.2022 Due to flooding in the Nambucca region, we are closing supports early in this area. Services will remain closed until the flood risk subsides. At present we are taking participants home. If it is not safe, participants will be transported back to the centre at Nambucca Heads for an evening of movies and fun, supported by our local team. Both participants and staff are affected by the rain and rising water levels, and these measures are to ensure safety of all.... SIL and Respite supports remain in place of course. I have always had a passion for helping people, even when I was little I used to volunteer at my school in the special education unit. The best part of my job is seeing my client’s excitement when they are smashing their goals! Working with clients has taught me not to take anything for granted, every day is a new day and to make the most of it!
