22.01.2022 It's been a long time between drinks for the Markets in Victoria, but after lengthy consideration with regard to community safety, we are excited to announce our plan to re-open the Beaufort Town Market with the necessary Covid Protocols in place ON Saturday 5th December. We have been granted a one off Permit from the Pyrenees Shire for this date for a Special Pre-Christmas Market. Markets next year will revert to the 4th Saturdays with one or 2 exceptions assuming the Stat...e continues to open up successfully. Our layout will be somewhat different also due to stalls being further spread, so we have been given a Permit by the Pyrenees Shire to close the section on Livingstone St between the Cnr at Golden Age Hotel and the Willouby St Cnr for Market activities. We look forward to having some of your favourite Vendors back (below) and we'll also welcome some new ones to enjoy. 09.01.2022 Thank you to the Shire for mention in their latest Newsletter Pyrenees Farmgate Trail Project Beaufort Progress Association are currently developing a Pyrenees Farmgate Trail. Farm Gates are small roadside stalls which supply fresh fruit, vegetables and other produce. Farm Gates are extremely popular in Europe and America and are increasing in frequency in Australia too. Farm Gates can also be larger arrangements, shared between growers.... Their primary objective is as a point of sale for fresh farm produce and wine. The Pyrenees already has some of the best wines in Australia and this project is designed to build on the existing Pyrenees Wine Trail. The goal is to attract more tourists into our region. The project is designed to help create and connect small food growers, wineries and producers to form the Pyrenees Farm Gate Trail. When restrictions lift, we will experience more visitors to our region looking for open spaces and fresh clean air. They also will be looking for great local produce.
