All you will need for an online session is your mat, towel and water bottle, a little bit of space and a laptop or phone so that you can see me demonstrate the exercises and I can watch and correct your form. It will be similar to face to face sessions in that I will be with you online for the entire session, push...ing you through the sets and ensuring you really challenge yourself during the workout. 23.01.2022 A client today started off her first session with trepidation and a goal to be able to run. I have to warn you. I’m not a runner! That’s fine I said We will just take this easy and get you used to running. 30 minutes later I was smiling. She ran, she inspired herself! Sure, I set the tone and the motivation, but once she started, something within her made her push harder, run faster as she set her OWN pace. See, at times you just need to listen to your body AND your m...ind. If you need to slow down (physically or mentally) then slow down. Allow it! Sometimes you just want to, or NEED to speed up. That’s a good thing too. The key is to keep moving, whether it’s working out, spending time with loved ones or going about your life generally. 23.01.2022 Improvement comes from movement - no matter how small. Lockdown does not mean putdown. Do this, this week. Every day for this week. Tell yourself you will do 75 push-ups a day. Do 75 in the morning or a few every hour or so scattered throughout the day until you have done the 75. This not only will help your strength and fitness, but also reassure you that you can achieve seemingly insurmountable things if you break it down. Ensure for one day, at least ONE day this week, you give yourself a break. Take a break from anything that triggers you. Unplug - DO NOT read or tap into the news for 24 hours, don't let the worries of the world in for just 24 hours. Give yourself just 24 hours to LET GO! ... If something triggers you, just close your eyes, count back from 5 and breath deeply. Allow only those 5 seconds. Then LET GO! Open your eyes and carry on. Do this for YOURSELF this week. 15.01.2022 Incremental Changes - Diet Starting a fitness journey may seem daunting. However it’s easier than you think. You can change a LOT with very little effort. Start with changing your mindset, this is the most important step. Pick ONE incremental change, just one - don't make it complicated, make it simple, make it FUN! If it's your diet you are looking to change, trust me, you CAN change this, for either this week, for just one day, or just for one meal. Make it something to loo...k forward to. Maybe you cook often, maybe you barely cook at all, if so don't be scared, cooking isn't a chore, it can be fun and an opportunity to be creative. So get out your calendars, mark a date in the next 7 days and commit to yourself to find a healthy recipe for a delicious and nutritious dinner to cook for yourself this week. DON'T overcomplicate your first step, don't worry too much about portion size, counting the calories, just make this step about the experience of finding a healthy meal, enjoying the process of preparing it and nourishing your body. DO put on some music as you work around the kitchen, DO be mindful of the textures and smells of the ingredients as you prepare your meal. DO sit down and chew and eat slowly knowing YOU created this healthy meal and YOU are already making incremental changes to your fitness. You are not just feeding your body, through this mindful process you are also feeding your soul. Do this for yourself this week. Just this. 11.01.2022 Bottom Line Up Front!: Don't let your health (physical and mental) wellbeing suffer during this time - check on the Fitness Australia website that your Personal Trainer is a registered and certified Professional and COVID Infection Control trained. Options are available for your wellbeing needs. Contact me for 1:1 permitted outdoor sessions and / or virtual PT sessions. Sutton claims gyms are a known high-risk setting. They cause outbreaks. I know gyms are as keen to open as... any industry and there are lots of mitigations you can try to put in place in terms of density measures and cleaning and screening, but they still cause outbreaks, they are still high-risk inherently because of the exertion that people are undergoing at the gym and the fact that it is an indoor setting. HOWEVER: Data from across NSW showed that during an eight-week period after gyms reopened there were more than 7.31 million check-ins across 546 gyms and during that same period there were zero cases of reported community transmission in a gym. We are not aware of any cases on transmission in a gym anywhere in Australia Don't let your physical and mental health deteriorate during this time - check on the Fitness Australia website that your Personal Trainer is a registered and certified Professional to help you meet your wellbeing goals!

Not every exercise session needs to be a "work-out" - Take the time to move, just move - take time on your own or with your loved ones for at least 30 minutes a day - just like me and my boys after a day of remote learning. Day 5 Strength and tone. Upper body. Use dumbbells, resistance bands or anything you can get hands on (E.g kilo of flower) rest for up to a minute between sets.
