25.01.2022 Whether its raining, cloudy or sunny and whether youre inside or outside - UV rays have a damaging effect on your skin 365 days a year. Keep skin protected and younger looking by using a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 during the day, every day. Take note: UV rays can pass through glass. You wont burn, but there is a risk of sun damage if you are sitting next to a window. Happy weekend everyone!

25.01.2022 Happy weekend loves! Find ways to relieve stress. Stress has an inflammatory response and affects our hormones. So it plays a huge role in contributing to skin conditions such as acne ang aging.

25.01.2022 Should I use a serum as part of my skincare routine? You should, let me tell you why! Besides basic skincare routine such as cleanser, toner, moisturizer and sunscreen, you need a serum to target specific skin issues like wrinkles, pigmentation or acne. Serum contains beneficial ingredients easily absorbed by your skin. Live Now serums contain ingredients created to repair your skin, strengthen it while restoring skin elasticity.... https://livenowskincare.com.au/collections/vitamin-c See more

24.01.2022 Summer is rolling in and it is more important than ever to keep your skin safe. Use an SPF 50+ with a broad spectrum screen that blocks UVC, UVB and UVA sun rays when outdoors for long periods of time. Live Now sunscreen is perfect because not only will it protect you from harmful rays but also a good base for your make up as it has a nice matte finish.

24.01.2022 Heres the thing about skincare.. you dont think you need it until you wish you started earlier. But... better late then never. Right?

23.01.2022 Happy Christmas everyone! Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season!

23.01.2022 Have you heard of Mask-ne? It is when you get acne from using face masks. As if we didnt already have to worry about the global pandemic - now add skin issues to the list. If youre a nurse or a doctor you wear a mask for hours you know what we mean. Covering our skin with face masks can cause acne because theres not enough airflow that causes our pores to get clogged. The bacteria from your mouth and nose gets stuck only in those areas where your mask is, hence the breakou...t. How to prevent maskne? Make sure you cleanse your skin before you put a mask and after. Using a gentle cleaner in the morning and cleansers with salicylic acid and glycolic at night. Salicylic is great because it keeps your pores clear of dirt and debris and oil. Also make sure you moisturise. If you have acne and breakouts there are breaks in the skin and any breaks in the skin increased transepidermal water loss, which is the process by which we lose water through our skin naturally. When we have breakouts and acne, this process is just sped up like crazy. A lot more water can leave our skin, which is why its really important to properly moisturize. And being that that area of the face can become so dehydrated or sensitized so easily, its even more important that youre using a really good moisturizer.

23.01.2022 Taking care of your skin isn’t rocket science. On the contrary, it’s quite simple, easy and rewarding. Good skin care and healthy lifestyle choices can help delay the natural aging process and prevent various skin problems. The key to having good skin is using good products and staying committed at all times to looking after your skin. Shop the Live Now Skincare Range today: www.livenowskincare.com.au

23.01.2022 Sheet masks are everywhere! Big celebrities use them, promoted by influencers all the time and it has gotten so popular in the Kbeauty trend but do sheet masks actually work? Or is it just a fad? Simple answer is: Yes. But... look for masks containing at least one of these active ingredients: antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C or ceramides otherwise its just a waste of money.

23.01.2022 Can you combine Niacinamide & Vitamin C? The answer is YES! You can use both niacinamide and vitamin C, either together in the same product, or combined from different products that you layer one over the other. "Niacinamide is a pretty tough ingredient; light and air dont have the same effect on it as they do on antioxidants like vitamin C. Whats important for niacinamide is that the product be formulated at a pH thats close to neutral. Vitamin C (pure ascorbic acid), ...on the other hand, does best in a low-pH (acidic) environment. However, nicotinic acid - the undesirable by-product of niacinamide and vitamin C - becomes an issue only when the niacinamide and vitamin C are combined in a high-temperature environment for a long time. That temperature is higher than youd find in most at-home scenarios, including leaving a box of skin care products sitting outside in the sun for a couple of days." Source: Paulas Choice

22.01.2022 Whats the difference between a serum and an essence? They are basically more or less the same thing in a way that they both deliver a highly concentrated dose of an active ingredient before you moisturize. Essences are however more lightweight than serums and the dose of active ingredient, the concentration is a little bit less than in a serum.... So if youre somebody for example who has very sensitive skin and cant really tolerate much, I would tell you to pick an essence over a serum.

04.01.2022 What does your nighttime skincare routine look like? Drop it! Wed love to hear. We love to use Vitamin A at night to keep those wrinkles away.

04.01.2022 A lot of your diet & what you eat affects your skin. Different places of acne can actually tell you if there is something off going on with your body internally so it is important to eat healthy and avoid foods high in sugar (save them for special occasion) *wink That being said, diet alone will not fix your skin problems such as hyperpigmentation, black heads, uneeven skin tone, etc. You need a skincare routine that will address those problems. We love Niacinamide to help improve skin moisture levels, texture, and pigmentation. And Vitaminc C to even out skin tone.

04.01.2022 First, use SPF. Unprotected sun exposure can cause post acne marks to further darken and to linger for longer. Try using Vitamin A. It will help improve skin tone and texture while brigtening the skin. Also try using brightening ingrendients such as Alpha Arbutin and Niacinamide. Alpha Arbutin helps combat pigmentation through inhibition of tyrosinase (the enzyme responsible for melanin production) and Niacinamide can concurrently rebuild healthy skin cells while also prote...cting them from damage caused by ultraviolet rays.
