17.01.2022 As we can’t attend ANZAC Day services this year we need to find new ways of showing our respect for our past, present and future service men and women. The kindy children have placed this poster along with one of their poppies on our letterbox for anyone driving up the street or participating in a minutes silence on Saturday morning to see. Our toddler and junior rooms also made this beautiful collection of poppies and the display in the foyer, while our pre kindy children have been hard at work creating soldiers and interacting with the special ANZAC Day display outside their room.

12.01.2022 Spreading kindness 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and circumstances have made it even more important for us all to stay connected. If you feel like something’s not quite the same with someone you know there’s something going on in their life or you notice a change in what they’re saying or doing - trust that gut instinct and take the time to ask them Are you OK? If someone says they’re not OK, make time to listen, encourage action and check in. That conve...rsation could change, or even save, their life. For further information go to ruok.org.au

03.01.2022 We had such a fun morning down in the Junior playground celebrating the Ekka. We started a day at the Ekka visiting the marketplace for morning tea to sample the locally grown and sourced fresh fruit. It was delicious and so juicy!! After our visit to the marketplace we had a quick restroom break before heading down to Sideshow Alley for some fun and games. Mrs Ruth had the ping pong splash set up on the table encouraging the children to bounce ping pong balls into the cup. ...Mrs Kristi had us all fishing with pipe cleaners trying to catch the fish in the water. Ms Bel played lucky duck with the children in the water trough. Mrs Emma set up the strongman/woman photo booth. We also had ring toss and bean bag throwing. Once we had finished exploring Sideshow Alley, we headed off to explore the agriculture area, when Mrs Emma was freshening up a raised garden bed. Together we planted capsicum, spinach, time, basil, mint and some cucumbers. What busy bees we've been at our Ekka so far, we started to wind down with story time in the shade before a sausage sizzle picnic lunch with our friends. Right now we are resting up and getting ready to play and explore again, but the Ekka is not finished yet. You can't go to the Ekka and not have a strawberry ice cream, that special treat is for our afternoon tea. Don't forget in the foyer we have a guess the how many lollies in the jar raffle. Just place your guess on the paper for your chance to win a jar full of sweetness! #ekka2020 #racqekka #theekka

02.01.2022 This afternoon in the playground the Junior, Toddler and Nursery children helped Mrs Emma harvest some of the vegetables and herbs which we have grown. We have worked very hard to maintain and care for our veggie garden. Everyday the children help water the plants in the garden and around the playground and then once a week we give them a some worm tea which we collect from our worm farm. We had some funny faces from the brave friends that tasted the pea pods, some of them enjoyed the taste and others did not! We left our harvest in the fridge with a note for Ms Dee and hopefully she will be able to use it in her cooking tomorrow or during the week.

01.01.2022 Our kindy friends have been discussing this a lot... The international space station should be visible tonight!
