11.01.2022 This village school mostly depends on the water from the pond nearby. But with yearly increase in hot summer days(As the result of climate change in the Dry Zone of Myanmar, summer takes half of the year while the rainy season and the cold season are becoming terribly shorter and shorter.), the village pond,unlike the previous years, dried up this year and the whole village had a problem with water. The water from the village tubewell is not that good for drinking and so the village relies for drinking water mainly on rainwater and muddy riverwater from the Ayeyarwaddy River. ###... 01.01.2022 FCJ (Faithful Companions of Jesus) is a 200-year- long organization. This year 2020 marks the 200th anniversary of FCJ. To go back to the past, the story of Living Water Myanmar originated in the FCJ house in Yangon ten years ago. The main characters who started the story were Sr Marion, Rosemary Breen and Maw Maw. Now, on their auspicious occasion, FCJ Sisters Ireland donated water collection tanks to the people in the Dry Zone of Myanmar. 01.01.2022 Wayne Daley, Breda Thatcher and Anthony Dale are some members of LauroBreen Trust, which is supporting Living Water Myanmar for so many years. Water tank No.334 is their donation. It is for a high school in a big village where there is no access to good drinking water. The water from the village tubewell is salty and nobody drinks it. For drinking water, they have to go to a pond over one mile away. If they buy that muddy pond water, they have to pay over Aus$ 8.0 for ten bar...rels of pond water(which is a big amount of money for village people). Now their water tank is really a helping hand for the school life of the students here as it can collect clean rainwater. ### Location. : Auzardaw village, Chauk.
