24.01.2022 Our Year 6 teachers put themselves in the line of fire yesterday as the students explored the results of changing variables in an experiment involving cola, mentos and a measuring tape!
24.01.2022 Holidays dont have to cost the earth its free to find a place on the sand and catch a few rays, swim and relax at South Banks Streets Beach, browse a weekend market, or pack a picnic and head to the Brisbane Botanic Gardens or the bushwalking trails of Mt Coot-tha. The child-friendly Queensland Art Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art offer free entry to most exhibitions, while a small entrance fee gets you into the interactive Sciencentre.
23.01.2022 Yesterday there was much excitement at the Year 5 Hub Market! During Term 3, students worked in groups to come up with a product to sell to the Living Faith community. They developed business plans which they presented to Mr Barnard (our Business Manager) in the Boardroom. Their plans detailed their product plans, market research, development budget, profit projections, marketing strategies and more. If Mr Barnard approved their plan, he gave them a start-up loan to develop ...their products. Yesterday the students put on the Hub Market, selling their products to students from Kindy - Year 6. This year students also created websites to take online orders. Each group hopes to be able to pay back the startup loan and donate their profits to Tearfund, Compassion International or OzHarvest. In the last weeks of term, they will reflect on how they went and what they could have done differently. See more

21.01.2022 Our Year 6 students weren't able to visit AIS as planned this year but they did enjoy a visit from a past AIS athlete who is also a past Living Faith student (including serving as vice-school captain)! Mitchell Jones has competed as a gymnast at a national level. He talked about his experiences, including winning a gold medal competing on the parallel bars, answered many, many questions and shared what was perhaps the most popular part of his presentation - a video montage of his very best stacks, including him getting right back up again! Students from O'Neill house were heard cheering loudly with the discovery that Mitchell was also in O'Neill.
