13.01.2022 Ps Dave - Our Vision 2021 Proverbs 29:18 Without a vision, the people perish... (KJV) To have a vision means to believe in what God has for us even though we have not yet received it. ( Hebrews 11:1) It is vision that makes the unseen visible and the impossible possible. Our vision determines our destiny. ( Isaiah 6:1, Ephesians 3:20)... Joshua and Caleb were part of 12 men sent out to explore Canaan. 10 of them said the land was good, flowing with milk and honey, but the people were too powerful to conquer. Caleb said they should take possession of the land, because he had faith that they could and they should. Joshua and Caleb had a vision and could see through the eyes of faith. In the end, they were the ones who entered into the land while the rest were pinned down by fear. ( Numbers 13:30-33 & 14:8-9) The Lord is with us. He is the same yesterday, today and forever and He will never leave or forsake us. Hebrews 12:2, Colossians 3:1-2 The Lord wants us to have a vision of the things to come. For centuries, people have argued about who Jesus is. Who do you say Jesus is? Matthew 16:13-16 Jesus confirmed that He was fully man (Son of man) AND fully God (Son of God). Jesus was, is and forever will be God. Mary became pregnant through the Holy Spirit. This is important because scripture tells us that sin came down through generations via the father. This means that Jesus was pure because the seed was clean. He was without spot or blemish because the seed (from God) was without spot or blemish. Jesus was born of incorruptible seed and when we become saved, we are too! We are reborn through the same Holy Spirit by which Jesus was born! 1 Peter 1:23, Titus 3:5 God Himself, came down from heaven to earth, perfect and blameless, to redeem us! This is the Christmas story - that God so loved the world, He sent His only Son! John 3:16 He could have sent anyone, he could have sent an angel. But He sent Himself in the form of His Son Jesus! That is why we are not consumed, because God made a covenant and unlike us, He doesn’t break His promises! Isaiah 6:1-4, Psalm 90:2, Hebrews 1:10-12, Malachi 3:6, Hebrews 13:7-8, John 8:58... God does not operate in time like we do, He is not bound or constricted to time; He is the existing one. Time does not impact God like it impacts humanity. He is the great I AM! As time changes and brings challenges, we know that God is with us and He does NOT change. John 1:1-3, Exodus 3:14, Exodus 13:21 Because God does not change; His promises do not change, His word does not change, His gifts do not change.
