02.01.2022 The ocean is one of the best places that calms and soothes and refreshes me all at once. I feel like it meets me where I am at. It is in no way predictable, always consistent and definitely vast enough to settle me in a beautiful way. Because no matter what is happening, the waves keep lapping at that shore and it continues to be itself - always. I love that it can show up differently each time we see it. Sometimes it's fiery and raging, other times, it is calm and serene. B...ut it is always there, always showing up as itself, for itself. It doesn't care if I am watching or not - it is there. It's like it honors how it is in that moment and shows up anyway because it knows it's important and valuable and beautiful just because it exists. Maybe that's a great little reminder for us. To show up as ourselves, to honour who we are and remember that because we exist, we are important & valuable. Taking time to even notice these things will slow us down, will refresh us and will help us remember that the beauty we get to see & experience is not even close to the beauty we hold within us. I think that'...s pretty damn amazing. Day 13 of Flourish Mama is to take notice of the beauty that surrounds us & brings us joy. Don't forget to slow down enough to see it.
