21.01.2022 Last night we managed to track down some Omphalotus nidiformis, a species of bioluminescent fungus. This was the nicest display I've ever seen with fruiting bodies growing half way up a large dead banksia trunk." Peter Eggenhuizen . . The natural world we live in is unimaginably beautiful. The more we stop to appreciate its beauty the more we are filled with wonderment.

20.01.2022 Daisugi the Japanese art of growing trees on top of trees that originated from timber production methods.

19.01.2022 And one day you realize that it wasn’t the game, it was who you watched it with. It wasn’t about the great cup of wine, but the great convos while sipping wine.... It wasn’t about the best coffee ever, but who you made it for. It wasn’t the business you built, but who was in the trenches with you. You have to learn how to value the time that someone gives you because that’s something they will never get back. It’s priceless. When you’re at the end of your years, what’s really going to matter??

17.01.2022 Morph. To morph is to change from one shape to another. ... Morph comes from the word metamorphosis, which is a Greek word meaning "a transforming." People all over Australia are becoming trees when they die. Together we are creating new forests, transforming the landscape, and changing our relationship to life.... Live on See more

14.01.2022 How about this! Here is 7 year old Bethany and 9 year old Laurena singing "I Am Australian" by The Seekers. From Nowa Nowa in East Gippsland these two girls have touched the souls of any who have watched. Well done girls and good luck in the Grand Final.

14.01.2022 We are at a crossroads as a civilization. The world we are in now, will never be the same again. We have to build anew. We have to change our ways to change the future our children will inherit. #bethechange #sustainability #environment #change #trees #forest

11.01.2022 Celebrating Xavi Bou (Born Barcelona, 1979) If birds left tracks in the sky, what would they look like? For years Barcelona-based photographer Xavi Bou has bee...n fascinated by this question, but of course birds in flight leave no traceat least none visible to the naked eye. Bou had a plan though and he has spent the past five years trying to capture the elusive contours drawn by birds in motion, or, as he says, to make visible the invisible. He began exploring photographic techniques that would allow him to show the beauty of birds in a way not seen before and ultimately he chose to work with a video camera, from which he extracts high-resolution photographs. After he films the birds in motion, Bou selects a section of the footage and layers the individual frames into one image. He finds the process similar to developing film: He cant tell in advance what the final result will be, but theres one magical second, he says, when the imagechimerical and surrealbegins to emerge. Before Bou began this project, which he calls Ornitografías, he earned degrees in geology and photography in Barcelona, then worked as a lighting technician in the fashion industry. This current work, he says, combines his passion and his profession. Its technical, challenging, artistic, and natural. Its the connection between photography and nature that I was looking for. Ornitografias is the balance between art and science, a project of naturalist discovery, and, at the same time, an exercise of visual poetry.

11.01.2022 Becoming a tree isnt for everyone but it is for everyone we leave behind... Your Living Legacy Tree creates a tree that connects the people you loved to a place that your life literally created. Your Living Legacy tree helps creates a forest that creates habitat for wildlife.... Few people know that Cremation Ashes have the same pH as bleach and oven cleaner and weigh 3-5kg ... so without treatment can be harmful to soil and eco system health. When soil is alive it converts matter into energy, pure alchemy at its finest, living soil organisms can even create electricity from the conversion of matter into energy enough to charge an iPhone. We carefully treat your ashes so they help the tree grow and become its thousands of seeds and seedlings. Thats how you make an impact that lives on forever, thats how we create the very air we breathe , thats how we perpetuate the circle of life. 09.01.2022 Becoming a tree is not for everyone, but it is for everyone you leave behind. Instead of leaving people connecting to what they lost, they can visit your tree and connect to the beauty that your life literally created through nature. Your Legacy Tree creates a place where they can visit and appreciate the gift of being alive more deeply because you existed.... A place that offers a path from grief to growth and from loss to a renewed appreciation for the gift of being alive.

06.01.2022 We know that Earth rotates on its Axis & revolves around the Sun. But we can't feel it at all. But here one astrophotographer has clicked exceptionally beautiful video, where in we can feel the rotation of the Earth. Made use of Equatorial tracking mount. He aligned it with North Star & kept clicking photos every 12 seconds for next three hours. Camera is looking at the same portion of the Milky Way & hence it appears stationary. ... Movement of the Earth is so beautifully felt.

02.01.2022 You want a physicist to speak at your funeral. You want the physicist to talk to your grieving family about the conservation of energy, so they will understand that your energy has not died. You want the physicist to remind your sobbing mother about the first law of thermodynamics; that no energy gets created in the universe, and none is destroyed. ... You want your mother to know that all your energy, every vibration, every Btu of heat, every wave of every particle that was her beloved child remains with her in this world. You want the physicist to tell your weeping father that amid energies of the cosmos, you gave as good as you got. And at one point you'd hope that the physicist would step down from the pulpit and walk to your brokenhearted spouse there in the pew and tell him that all the photons that ever bounced off your face, all the particles whose paths were interrupted by your smile, by the touch of your hair, hundreds of trillions of particles, have raced off like children, their ways forever changed by you. And as your widow rocks in the arms of a loving family, may the physicist let her know that all the photons that bounced from you were gathered in the particle detectors that are her eyes, that those photons created within her constellations of electromagnetically charged neurons whose energy will go on forever. And the physicist will remind the congregation of how much of all our energy is given off as heat. There may be a few fanning themselves with their programs as he says it. And he will tell them that the warmth that flowed through you in life is still here, still part of all that we are, even as we who mourn continue the heat of our own lives. And you'll want the physicist to explain to those who loved you that they need not have faith; indeed, they should not have faith. Let them know that they can measure, that scientists have measured precisely the conservation of energy and found it accurate, verifiable and consistent across space and time. You can hope your family will examine the evidence and satisfy themselves that the science is sound and that they'll be comforted to know your energy's still around. According to the law of the conservation of energy, not a bit of you is gone; you're just less orderly. Artist: Steven Sander

02.01.2022 We are not separate from the fractal nature of reality. The same red iron that is in the earths crust is in our blood. Our bodies have the same amount of water as the earth (60-70%).... We breathe trees. Trees breathe us.

02.01.2022 As isolation restrictions ease and the weekend nears, nature calls. Happy Friday. Whats in store for the weekend?
