04.01.2022 Is your strength training making you more athletic? These two things don’t always go hand in hand. But they should! Strength has a massive neural element (Brain and Central Nervous System). If you are doing strength movements locked into a machine, you won’t be getting the neural benefits of quality movement that carries over into your athletic ability. Athletic ability carries over to happier longer lives, and that’s what I’m about. Many of us train our muscles to look aesthetically pleasing, but the body works as a whole unit that is truly a beautiful thing!

01.01.2022 Let’s talk about ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS! I might use Stevia sometimes for baking to keep calories low. I do this when I need to watch my food intake. But you do need to be careful as they can set you up for wanting more If you use them because you crave sweets, you might be setting yourself up for even MORE SUGAR CRAVINGS.... I know it seems weird but Scientists say non-caloric sweeteners can change how sensitive your taste buds are to sweetness. Some of them are 200 to 20,000 times sweetener than actual sugar!!! Over time, this can cause you to crave even MORE sugar. The Takeaway: be mindful when it comes to your intake of artificial sweeteners and your cravings! It always blows me away on the rare occasion I have a Coke Zero or something similar because it's Zero calories!!! How does that even happen?
