24.01.2022 Hi everyone, it was a very slow year in 2017 for Living on Wheels due to health issues, but I can safely say that we are back on deck and looking forward to 2018. Living on Wheels first event for 2018 will be on Saturday 17th February 2018 Location: Preston Road Park which is on Meadowlands Road Carina - Basketball Court.... Start Time: 08:00 Finish Time: 10:00 Age group is from 3yrs to 18yrs We will have games & wheelchair skills RSVP: by Friday 16th February 2018. BYO: Food & Water. Looking forward to seeing you all then.

04.01.2022 Hi All, Sorry for not posting for awhile, as I have been recovering from shoulder surgery, plus having to spend a couple of weeks in Rehab. Then I had a fall out of my wheelchair and did some damage to my shoulder again, and so I am still in recovery mode. Once I am up and pushing all day every day, I will let everyone know and set up a sessions for 2019.... In the meantime, have a great New Year and will be in contact again soon. 03.01.2022 Hi everyone, If you would like to try Para Cycling please see details below. Date Saturday 3 March... Time 10am start Venue Nundah Crit Track Albert Bishop Park, Hedley Street, Nundah. The plan is to have an open session and allow riders to :- 1 Riders can be para cyclists or able bodied cyclists and can ride with a CA licence or under our ‘Come n Try’ approval. 2 Tri-cycles, hand cycles and tandems will be available to try. We want to demonstrate the bike skills required to master these cycles. 3 Ride or participate in simulated races around the crit track on tricycles, hand cycles and tandems. 4 We will hold trials for CA licenced riders who want to try out being a tandem pilot. One of our aims is to get a pool of pilots to share the tandem load. Its a big commitment to race, train and work as a tandem team. We will have commissaires, coaches, marshalls and first aid officers to supervise these sessions. The plan is to have this session go for about an hour. And scheduled after C grade so riders will stay on and participate. Being held within our normal crit, participants will experience our normal carnival crit atmosphere.
