23.01.2022 Did you know there are over 54,000 registered charities in Australia. Thats a lot of incredibly worthy causes to think about when it comes to finding your "ch...arity of choice". READ THE FINE PRINT! Of course, wed love you to choose TBO simply because of the work we do. With the dream to give every Australian child the right to play, we think its a pretty easy decision. But....before you decide, heres some stuff we think you need to know. Did you know that there are organisations out there that absorb a lot of your donation on third party fees and high overhead costs? Sometimes only as little as 7% of your donation will be invested in the cause. At TBO we are different - we give you the option to invest 100% of your donation towards your chosen project or initiative. No fees, no overheads - thats right 100%. And of course, its tax deductible - which is fantastic timing for those wishing to make the most of their tax benefits for the end of this financial year. DONATE TO A PROJECT To make it even easier for you, weve listed some of our projects below for you to choose from. To donate, simply put the location of your chosen project in the donation description eg MOLLYMOOK Remember, 100% will go directly to the choice you make and you can rest assured that 100% of your gift will make a huge difference in ensuring every child has the right to play. Heres a list of expenses that would be grateful for your support: $100 Funds a whole session of storytime, creating real community connections. $200 Pays our rent for a week - thanks for giving us a home! $1000 One term of storytime at an existing Livvis Place. Storytime allows 20 families per week in a community to connect and belong. $5000 Allows TBO to visit five communities and engage in a design discussion around what they want to see in their community. $10,000 Pays the rent for TBO House for one year. Without an office, we are forced to borrow desk space. $20,000 Funds our social enterprise training program for one year which would allow 12 young people per term access to hands on hospitality training. $50,000 Gives us an additional resource. Staff help to ensure our projects are delivered across Australia. It is incredibly difficult to secure funding for staff. $100,000 Would help us to build one Livvis Place. $200,000 Covers our entire annual operating costs - all salaries insurances, rent, utilities and travel. $1,000,000 Would allow us to build 10 Livvis Place inclusive playspaces.

20.01.2022 No one is more disappointed than us to see the senseless vandalism of Livvis Place continue - fences have been stolen, fires started in the bathrooms and much more. Now more than ever we need the community to speak up. Own Livvis Place! Report vandalism on this page, to Penrith City Council or Lend Lease. Already tens of thousands of dollars have been spent repairing damage to vandalism. We are working on solutions and welcome positive feedback and ideas.

Our Master Storyteller, Natalie, will be running a free and fun storytime and craft session every week on Tuesday, and of course, everyone is welcomed. Final Call - Participate in Research on Friday 20th or Saturday 21th July at Livvis Place, 1 Discovery Way, Jordan Springs NSW 2747 Participants will receive a family movie pass in thanks,... Researchers from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Federation University are seeking children with disabilities and their families help to evaluate inclusive playspaces. We are recruiting for Livvis Place, 1 Discovery Way, Jordan Springs NSW 2747 We are looking for child/children with disabilities is between the ages of 5 and 14, who have used this inclusive playspace, and would like to participate in research on Friday 20th or Saturday 21th of July 2018. Please register your interest by 13 July 2018 by emailing Bec Ho from Touched By Olivias at [email protected] Whats involved? Children, accompanied by their families, will be asked to come along to the playspace to complete 3 play-based activities that will tell us about their play experiences and show us what works and doesnt work in supporting them to play. These activities include: a child-led tour of the playspace, a task to rate the playground, and a free play session (see details in the information sheet attached). Children can also ask their families to help them out with any of the activities. The researchers (Dr Lisa Stafford, Associate Professor Jenene Burke, Professor Simon Darcy, and Professor Stewart Trost) have extensive experience working and researching with children and disabilities. Founders John and Justine Perkins said, The 20th of November marks Olivias 11th anniversary. We started the foundation with a dream to spread Olivias touch. It is a really tough day for us, and the sadness can be overwhelming.... The Perkins are issuing a challenge to all of our friends. It would mean the world to us if we could commemorate this Monday with a positive action - to spread Olivias touch through a random act of kindness, and bring smiles to peoples faces. What a beautiful way to remember our precious baby. Touched by Olivia kicked it off earlier this month by gifting a family their dream holiday to Disneyland.
