13.01.2022 Hand studies in acrylic for class today. Flesh tones made with yellow ochre, magenta, ultramarine blue, and titanium white. Quick background of turquoise on toned grey paper. First time using retarder medium, which allowed me to take my time due to how it slowed the drying of the paint.

04.01.2022 Progress on my latest work for uni. Tossing up ideas for titles as well as hoping to deepen shadows and add some smaller objects not balance the overall piece. Have really been loving painting the beautiful Miranda Riddell, and her golden tresses, who sat very still for this portrait.
04.01.2022 Progress Report on my latest: trying out a new (aim was psychedelic) style of background, as I often don’t have a background in my works. Might do some patterns, highlights/shadows, and/or text next?? Will come back to it; done for tonight.
