25.01.2022 Lisa & Kerris Wedding. Truly a magical day.

25.01.2022 Apart from running in the rain this weekend I got to officiate a very beautiful, almost mystical wedding yesterday afternoon at this absolutely gorgeous place. The wind and rain held off and we had the ceremony in what I dubbed The Secret Garden, complete with chandelier hanging in the tree behind us and a gorgeous shabby chic tall mirror with tissues fro a last minute check as we turned onto the pathway.. But they were still all set to go to Plan B in the Marquee as well.... It was fun and romance the whole way. And then the reception area was just amazing. Retro, Boho, funky, shabby chic, classy and the eye for detail unsurpassed. The trio of African Drummers completed the vibe for the ceremony, and Magnus the Photographer was a dream to work with. It was just all so easy, fun and calm. I sincerely hope Sylvan Glen becomes a worst kept secret for Donna and family who run it, if it hasnt already, because this place is very cool. Just like Erin & Trevor our superstar Bride & Groom. GAWJUSS!!! See more

25.01.2022 Its changing daily out there and today is a quiet Sunday. Giving me time to think about the changes I set out last week with another colleague. We chose to stop having face to face meetings with families planning funerals in order to keep ourselves well and to not unwittingly be potential carriers should we contract Coronavirus or any other cold or flu like symptom. Technology allows us to do voice or video conferencing to reassure families that we will guide them and create the service they want for their loved one with the same compassion, sensitivity and professional approach every step of the way. We can get through this and thank you for accepting and allowing us to continue to do what we do the best way we can, even without a comforting hug along the way.

25.01.2022 2 years ago (yesterday) we celebrated my #birthday very differently. Thankyou for all the messages, calls, texts and surprises left at our door. Talk about #feelingthelove

24.01.2022 I've said it before but I feel pretty blessed that I can use my powers and what I do for good and help friends through both happy and sad events. I absolutely loved my singing career and I love my celebrancy career just as much. #itsnotajobitsapassion

22.01.2022 Yikes. This shows just how easily we transmit germs.

20.01.2022 Good day for catching up on typing Ceremonies & Services with the sound of rainfall in the background. Oh - and a visit to the dentist

19.01.2022 Look what arrived yesterday! Im running 8ks on 15th March for people living with Multiple Sclerosis. Its a tough time in Oz to ask for support so Ive only set my goal to $100 cos every little but helps. So if you can throw a few shekels this way Id be thrilled and grateful. Hoping link below works or please copy & paste into your browser to go to my fundraising page. Thankyou xxx www.mswalk.org.au/fundraisers/liztaylor

17.01.2022 Friday was at Glebe Town Hall for a fab and fun wedding ceremony filling in at short notice for a colleague who became unwell. Get better quickly darling! Congrats to L&M. Then Saturday back at Lakeside Golf Club in Gledswood Hills for another beautiful wedding under the awning as Mother Nature was very unpredictable. Luckily the sun came out for the photos. Thankyou Megan & Peter it was a delight being your Celebrant. #ilovemyjob

16.01.2022 Nothing like going through an old filing cabinet and shredding everything in sight! So I did!

16.01.2022 So The Southern part of the Northern Beaches is out of lockdown and now part of Greater Sydney. We did good folks! Limits in place for weddings and funerals are now capped at 100 and the 4sq metre rule applies for all venues. With the 4sq metre rule it means a lot of venues cannot accommodate 100 people. ... We need to consider that fact as it has been misinterpreted a lot in 2020 and in turn led to a lot of heartbreak and disappointment. Live streaming is an option that has been very popular and a good alternative especially for funeral services so do discuss with your funeral arranger or the venue to see if they can offer this service. Let’s hope this short term pain leads to long term gain/normality sooner rather than later.

16.01.2022 How lovely to be given flowers from our dear friend Val who visited from the Gold Coast last week. Same colour as her hair. Shes a very vibrant and beautiful lady just like these lilies.

16.01.2022 Here I go Sports Fans!

16.01.2022 Something I was inspired to do for the last few years because of a young lady named Kate who I have been quietly following here on FB. She is now swimming and ...getting some steps in herself. Kate if you can do what you have done so far then I can do this too and hopefully help with raising a bit of money to support people just like you and your families. Inspiration is right in front of us my friends. Do drop a dollar or 2 this way if you arent overwhelmed with so many likeminded people doing and asking the same thing and thank you. X See more

15.01.2022 Yikes folks. Been having troubles with my phone since the storm yesterday afternoon. Everything works. The only issue is that no one can hear me on phone calls. I rang Vodafone and they showed me how to reset network so I've done that 3 times and restarted the phone each time. It seems to be on the improve but not great. Whats App or phone via Messenger is perfect so if you need me use those for now please or send me a text and I will call you back. I have heard others are having major issues with their computer networks today so it could be related to that storm and also while repairs would be underway as a result I would imagine. Anyone heard anything? I've been at my desk all day and not heard the news.

15.01.2022 Our UK Wedding when our marriage was blessed by the local minister. 11th September 2004. Where we celebrated and did it all again with our family on our 6 month anniversary. Note: As an authorised Celebrant I have to add we didnt get married twice. Obviously thats not allowed but what about doing similar in these Covid-19 times? Marry now, celebrate with family & friends later with a renewal of vows or blessing and a big party like we did?

13.01.2022 Had a lovely week away. Im back refreshed, reset and ready to roll!

12.01.2022 Social Distancing is what we have to do to keep ourselves and each other well. As a serial hugger this is new territory for me but Im afraid Lizzie Hugs are now temporarily unavailable and I will be endeavouring to adopt safe processes where I can such as video conferencing rather than face to face meetings and minimal personal contact to hopefully help flatten the curve and do my little bit to get life back to normal ASAP. Its not fun but gotta be done.

03.01.2022 Oh no!!! Hey everyone, I literally got this through just now. The MS Walk Run & Roll has been cancelled. I want to thank all who donated and assure you your m...oney will be used to help those living with MS and their families and for research. In honour of your support I am still going to run 8klms on Sunday for my friends who are suffering with this shocker of a condition. Whats more I will run wearing my bib so I feel like I am doing the event nonetheless. Ill probably hit the Bay Run to do it at 8:00am starting and finishing somewhere near Le Montage and add a klm on to it. So if you see me, cheer me on or join me - no hi fives, just good old cheering - and photos of me at my worst are allowed! It cant be worse than living with MS #MSwalkrunroll MS Walk Run + Roll See more

01.01.2022 This week is all about celebrating in the style and personality of someone who truly lived life. On Monday we went Hawaiian, everyone wore a lei and were greeted with an Aloha and Hawaiian Music. Today we are at the Beach celebrating the love of the surf and Friday is everything Irish with a nip of Jameson Whiskey to toast an Irish Colleen on the way out of the Chapel followed by a REAL Irish wake complete with Irish Band. A funeral service can be so much more than a sad farewell - when appropriate of course.

01.01.2022 Sunday Runday. Happy Easter everyone. Now for some chocolate!
