25.01.2022 I feel like I am starting to collect photos of Aspley high people I went to school with 20 something years ago! Not complaining though, it’s been great catching up with people since I haven’t made it to either of the reunions. This afternoon was Karen and Brendans session with their kids. Beautiful afternoon up here and with lots of laughs we got some great photos! ... Was so good to see you both again and meet the kids :)

25.01.2022 So I am not always the best at remembering anniversaries (or birthdays or any kind of dates like that) and I was maybe reminded of this one because Saioa posted about the anniversary gift Angus gave her. 3yrs ago today I met these two for the first time at a private property just down the hill from me, I walked in and was only catching about every second word people were saying but instantly felt loved. Saioa and Angus had their ceremony in both English and Spanish, Sai had ...family over from Spain, there was a horse, a dog, classic car and lots of laughs while drinking bubbles out of a bottle during photos at sunset. One of my only regrets from working over 100 weddings... was saying no I will head home when they asked if I wanted to stay for dinner, when there was much insistence that I stay for dinner! Instead I was laden up with food to take home for me and Steve which was all so freaking amazing. Hanging for restrictions to be lifted so I can plan a tassie trip so we can catch up, and so I can finally visit for my husband grew up. See more

24.01.2022 In February, the weekend before my 40th (crap it’s real) I will be doing two days of amazing boudoir sessions at the most glorious location on the Sunshine Coast. These sessions I am classing as boudoir but would suit bridal boudoir, couples boudoir and also maternity! There are strictly only 10 sessions available. I would do more but they have been set up so each gets enough time to relax and enjoy the process. If you would like to know more about what’s on offer or what’s involved please don’t hesitate to ask! There are no stupid or silly questions at all. Let’s start 2021 right and also celebrate my last few days of being in my 30’s.

24.01.2022 Today I received an email from Andrew Powell MP office advising that I have been nominated for a Small Business Award for the Glasshouse area - Moreton Bay. Which is amazing because I thought I was too late as I only found the info for the awards the day it was closing. So now I am nominated it’s time for people to vote. This is where you guys come into play. ... I never really put myself in for awards, I think the last time I submitted my photos to anything was 4 years ago at the Woodford show (where I won more than I should have and then felt guilty) but in general it’s just not my thing. But I have realised I do need to put my business and me out there more and be more visible in the community since I am forever promoting this amazing region that I live and work in. 22.01.2022 I know, I know. It’s late and Facebook will punish me for this because it’s all about the analytics but meh. We have some more sneaky peeks of yesterday wedding and it’s totally worth FB pain lol Seriously. These ladies and actually everyone at their wedding were bloody amazing! ... Things didn’t always go to plan but everyone just got in and made it happen. We had rain (storm) and more rain, rainbows, 4wding, some more rain, and just lots of laughs and love. The stunning magnificent private property was insanely beautiful. The styling which was next level was by Platinum Event Hire The other vendors I will need to grab details of but it was an amazing group of people who just wanted to make it all come together for them. Thank you again Tasia and Amy for including me in your day! I promise I didn’t add any of those rainbows to the photos! Serious! 22.01.2022 Tomorrow is the day! Have just been out to check on the venue and see what I am working with tomorrow with a quick hello to the girls and quick catch up with @platinumeventhire who are bloody amazing! Reception marquee is looking AMAZING, the property is glorious and now we just keep everything crossed (seriously please cross everything) that the weather clears or changes for their afternoon. 21.01.2022 All the drama and romance yesterday afternoon! On my drive down off the hill the rain started... oh and boy did it rain! Then as I was sorting out our spot and waiting for Lachlan and Emma the most amazing light streamed through the clouds but didn’t last long. We had a random fisherman (who later offered them a beer) lots of bystanders who thankfully stopped when I asked them to... but it happened! She said yes! ... I love love love proposals! 20.01.2022 Classic liz moment... didn’t press post on last nights sneak peek Yesterday I took photos of twin sisters Tayla and Julia before their formal with their partners and their dad. Dad also had organised a gorgeous classic car for their trip into the city. Hope you all had a great night! And Paul I hope you enjoyed your cruise back home in the car as well.

20.01.2022 What a day. Seriously. I arrived in Dalby this morning to find out about the changes in place for events... some big changes had to be made for Renae and Maccas wedding but everyone pulled together, a new reception was sorted and it happened! They got married! There may have been changes, there may have been years, there may have been a few pep talks but you wouldn’t know it looking at what we made happen. So while they enjoy their revised reception I have some sneaky pee...ks, red wine and some Chinese food and am curled up in my motel bed. Massive congratulations again Renae and Macca... it was truely an amazing day and I am glad I was able to be a part of it with you all. 20.01.2022 Last mini session of the year and I got to meet this little man! I have known his big sister since she was in her mum’s tummy so was so good to see her and meet this little man Kobe. As usual... he wasn’t wanting to smile for photos but I got to see it when the camera wasn’t up :) So that’s it! My last session before Christmas, there should be a sneaky maternity between Christmas and new year but that’s it. Am back at my desk now with Tayla and Jakes wedding in front of m...e. 18.01.2022 5 years ago I randomly met a couple at Dayboro Day as a part of the @moretonbayhinterlandweddings stall. 4 years ago today, they were married by @carlysladeweddings at @oceanviewestatesweddings on a seriously beautiful day, seriously the weather was amazing! Now 4 years later, there are 2 kidlets, we are pretty much neighbours and once a year (ok multiple times a year because well we all know me, but if you need a great accountant I can send you his info) James reminds me to do my tax. Happy Anniversary Alyssa and James, thanks for letting me stick around in your lives

17.01.2022 Getting my top 9 for 2020 done early as I will be doing a recap over the next couple days of all the 2020 weddings (minus 1 which has no social media posting) Am a little surprised but also happy with this years top 9. Didn’t expect for me to be the top post... does this mean you guys want more personal posts about me? My family made the list, an incredibly special gifted session is on there (which makes my heart happy yet sad) and look at @tassssia and @amy_h_1 grabbing two spots! I love all my sessions and weddings from this year and can’t wait to see what next year has planned.

17.01.2022 I feel like I am forever waiting for things to save or upload or import at the moment. The uploading is what does my head in the most though I think. Three days to upload a wedding viewing album. Checking at all hours of the day and night to make sure things haven’t stopped, or failed (often) or just gone missing. These are the things people don’t think about when they think about what a photographer does. I had someone mention to me earlier this week you have such a cru...isey job, it must be so good to just snap a few pics and make all the money Oh and I laughed and laughed and laughed... after picking my jaw up off the floor lol So yeah... that’s not the case. 17.01.2022 This has to be one of my favourite windows and also ceremony locations. I was told the story of this window last year when I saw that the stained glass was replaced with a plain glass window. The original window (if I remember what I was told correctly) was from a chapel at one of the grammar schools in Brisbane but was away getting repaired. I hope one day it will make its way back to Henzells Chapel. Either way I will forever love this place and it’s people.

16.01.2022 What a day. One of those days where I am a duck on a pond... calm on the surface but kicking like crazy under the water. All that matters today is that Jake and Tayla said I do... and are our newest Mr and Mrs. @reneeweddings did all the official things @hillstonestlucia was our amazing venue and @the_little_flower_market had the most beautiful flowers everywhere! Gah all the peonies! ... Will have some more sneak peek in the next day or so but now I am napping while my amazing husband drives us home! See more

15.01.2022 Doesn’t everyone just hang out in a paddock in their wedding gear looking flawless and loved up. I sometimes ask people to stand or hold each other a certain way but in my head I know it’s going to fall into place and look perfect. Chanae and Daniel were married the weekend before last with @sweetpetitewed at @dayborocottages After the ceremony by @kyliestarrcelebrant and family photos we went for a drive up the mountain a bit further to Mt Mee and some of my favourite places. Today though I am catching up on some things at around the house and this afternoon will be getting back to all your messages and emails! Trying to do only half days on Monday and Tuesday which is my weekend but right now... let’s say I am hanging out for Christmas :)

15.01.2022 I leave the room for 2 minutes to get my lunch and she moves in. Does anyone else find that doing something as simple as making the bed, help with their stress levels and anxiety? I spend my days in the office attached to the bedroom (to the left of this photo) and the mess/disorganisation really affects my actual work. Just knowing there is mess around and behind me sits there niggling with my brain. Anyone else that works from home or just also feels like this... how do you tackle it? Do you just learn to ignore it? Smash out a heap cleaning and organising? Do something small each day? Need all the advice.

14.01.2022 Loving that I have more maternity bookings at the moment (ok this isn’t a new one since this baby is now running around and uses the word no a lot) Am planning on taking some photos of my client wardrobe pieces this weekend which are suitable for maternity but also for normal sessions with a bit more glam. Have been trying to ensure I have a range of sizes because I completely understand what it’s like to not have things in my size. Will have more updates on these next week!... In the meantime... 2020 is pretty much closed for bookings (if you haven’t already been in contact) because I need to make sure I have enough time to finish off editing before the Christmas break and this year I am actually taking more than a day off! 13.01.2022 This afternoon something super special is happening. Remember these two, Charmaine and Daniel? Well, today I get to take photos of them again but with an added bonus of their bump as well! Yep!!! It’s a maternity session to add to their collection and I was beyond honoured that they asked me to capture this as well. Can not wait to see them and capture some more important memories for them. @ Mount Mee

13.01.2022 Over 5 years ago a wonderful person helped me with a logo design for my business. I have been so attached and in love with it this whole time but this year I had decided to make some changes to my business... that being one of them. It’s taken me 6mths to follow through with those changes because of my love for my previous logo and branding. So of course during the most stupidly busy period this year it’s finally all falling into place around the other work that’s going on. Over the next month there will be a few changes happening, changes to my website, some great new marketing material, client welcome packages and a giveaway at the start of December. So here is the first step to a new look and new year ahead.

12.01.2022 Yesterday seems like a complete blur! Although yesterday Alyce and Pete tied the knot and it was glorious. With a few changes happening to their original plans they ended up having their ceremony at St Peters in Caboolture before heading up the hill for their reception at Birches. With this change it meant we weren’t going to get much time for bridal portraits but these guys smashed it out of the park! We even managed to even up the bridal party as well (although the ring... in was a bit needy and kept trying to make it all about him) Truely was a beautiful day filled with lots of love and so many laughs! 12.01.2022 Earlier this week Kirsten (Mum) sent me a message to see if I could fit in some formal photos for Leo today and I was actually excited to do another formal shoot. When I turned up and saw the amazing sparkling dress and how glorious she looked I knew there would be some awesome photos to help commemorate this day. I know we all know how hard this time has been for weddings but formals are much the same... formals have all these rules as well! I hope that you are having the most amazing night Leo, make the memories, have fun, laugh lots and twirl that dress if you can!

10.01.2022 This afternoon I had a reminder on how important having photos really is. I am not going to tell Damian and Toni's story because its not my story but this afternoon was very special. We dont know how long we have together in this world so make the most of every minute, hold each other and tell the ones you love how important they are to you. ... Get your photo taken, be in the photos not just taking them, print your damn photos, hang them on the wall, put them in an album, frames, whatever... just do it. I am so thankful to have met you both this afternoon, hope you have had a wonderful dinner out and a beautiful night together.

10.01.2022 As I prep and get ready for today’s wedding I am also doing a second prep for tomorrow’s wedding! Tomorrow it’s Amber and Corey and it honestly feels like a lifetime ago that I met them, but it’s only been about 15months. In that time we have already done 3 sessions and tomorrow is finally the day it happens (but we also already have another session do to after the fact as well so don’t forget that Corey) Tomorrow we head to @brockhurst_farm and @shelleyschmalingcelebrant is going to make it all offical! So if anyone needs me... Sunday I may be awake at some point lol

09.01.2022 Last session of 2020 is done! Yesterday afternoon Samara and Jeff came up the hill for their maternity session that was rained out a couple weeks ago. The very best was to end 2020 I think, celebrating new life to come. Was also great to see Samara again as we used to work together, so it was exciting to be a part of this new stage of her life. ... Now the only actual photo I have left to take this year is my own yearly family photos... Should get onto that!

09.01.2022 Have always said that I choose them as much as they choose me because I learnt early on in my career that I don’t have to say yes to every job that comes my way. Early on I had a couple clients that made me question and doubt everything about myself and my work and I knew I never wanted to feel that again. I want clients that love me for who I am and for the work that I do. This afternoon I got reminded again on how lucky I am and how wonderful my clients are (although afte...r 4 shoots let’s say friends) Charmaine and Daniel I met almost 3 years ago (yep went back and check when I got the first email) when they asked me to shoot their wedding. So we have had engagement, wedding, maternity and today I got to meet their new bubba Aoife and their fur kid Frankie at a mini session up here on the hill. Charmaine also runs two amazing businesses @thebridalboxco and @thebumpboxco and surprised me with a gift she had made for me Such a beautiful surprise and I may have had tears. 08.01.2022 What makes up your self care routine? Or parts of it? Today after a meeting in Dayboro I had to stop in at spotlight to get some new pillows (that was my self care right there) but then saw that they had weighted blankets on sale. Had heard lots of good things about these and anyone that knows me will know I average 4hrs of sleep a night. So without a second thought one was in my trolley. Giving it a go tonight to see if it helps because gosh I could go a great nights sleep...! Have you used one? Love or hate them? My plants are another big thing (there may be some new ones at the end of the bed) for me especially in the bedroom and my office. When I need an eye break from editing the plants get some attention and I get some calming time. It’s a win win. So what are some things you do to look after yourself?

08.01.2022 These two may look familiar. This is their 3rd session and their engagement session before their wedding towards the end of next month. Amber and Corey are almost pros at this now and slowly I am sure Corey is warming to me taking his photos... hahaha no he isn’t lol We did go to a different location today not on the mountain just to mix things up a bit which was a lovely change. Now I need to get through all those emails you have all sent me the last couple days since I have been a bit preoccupied with sessions. What are your Saturday night plans?

08.01.2022 There have been a heap of enquiries come through for family session dates and if I am still available for last minute weddings. As normal, weekdays are generally pretty clear but weekends are what you all are keen on so here is what we have. 12th and 13th of September 3rd and 4th of October 11th of October 17th and 18th of October 10th of October (The wedding date I could have booked 10 times over lol) - very limited mini couples sunset afternoon, you can bring wine will share more info on that one soon but hit me up if you want to secure a spot as this is limited to 3 couples! 7th and 8th of November will xmas minis! 08.01.2022 Ok.... Saturday. How was that storm that went through right? That storm that hit about 3:30? Yeah that one. Well at 3ish it started to drizzle at Shelley beach. At about 3:15 it was heavy enough for me to be go to and fro with an umbrella for myself. ... By 3:20 Candice and Jason had tied the knot! By 3:40 Jason was soaked through! I was soaked through but these two legends said yes to just trying to get a couple portraits in through the pouring rain! I have added no additional rain to this! We are going to try again... will cross everything for slightly better weather next time though! Massive shout out to the amazing vendors that pulled it together for these two as well! 08.01.2022 Work has gotten on top of me this last week after some down time last week unwell. Making my way through the many emails and so many messages (love you guys) after giving more info on the Christmas mini sessions! If you haven’t heard from me by the end of today, your email/message may not have made its way to me. So very excited for the next few months but it is a bit crazy fitting a years worth of weddings into about 3months, I need a second me, or someone to just organise my life and home for me lol Have a wedding being delivered this week, a big wedding at Ocean View on Saturday and lots of prep for the other amazing weddings coming up over the next couple months! I can’t wait!

08.01.2022 Catching up on some sneak peeks for Meghan and Andrew from their wedding on Saturday. After many many changes to their day it finally happened! It really was one of those days where things just worked out even if they weren’t as planned. I may have sewn up a wedding dress, we may have nearly left the flowers behind and I may knocked over the seating chart when taking the first dance photos (was totally worth it to get the shot which I may sneak into my stories on insta) bu...t it was still a truely beautiful day full of memories to last a lifetime. 07.01.2022 Every time I shoot pre formal photos I fall more in love with them. I love being able to spend some time away from the family, just with them and working out who they are. I hadn’t met Piper before but I would love to shoot her over and over again. You don’t have to smile in all your photos to look freaking amazing! If you are wearing a big skirt... 07.01.2022 5 days short of their 1st wedding anniversary and also 5 days short of their due date... Sophie and Jack came up the hill for some maternity photos! Was more than a lil excited when Sophie messaged to see if we could fit these in before their due date. Was so good to see you both today and I will keep everything crossed little miss arrives happy, healthy and sooner rather then later.

07.01.2022 Facebook just reminded me of one of the most fun weddings I have done. Two years ago Charles and Jai got married at @eatstreet and the portraits after were a blast! Wandering around, eating fairy floss, and having a lot of laughs. All the colour and lights just makes my heart happy! Happy anniversary lovelies! Now I am about to pop out to pick up some new babies for our family before shooting a baby belly for another past couple this afternoon! 06.01.2022 Because it’s looking like Santa may not make it to the shops this year, @lizwilsonphotography aka me, will be doing Christmas mini (15min) sessions. Right now I have a weekend sorted for some beautifully styled (aka fancy AF) photos near Woodford 7/8 November, but do plan on doing some in Dayboro and Mt Mee also. 06.01.2022 ***IMPORTANT INFO*** Busy morning working through my diary because I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed lately. 05.01.2022 With the changes that happened to south east Queensland on Saturday morning its brought out the best and worst in people. For me... it’s been positive as all the people I have been working with and for have been working together for a positive result. To make a day amazing for my couples. For them to get married. For everyone to remain happy, healthy and safe. What has been hurting my heart since getting home and seeing other wedding vendor friends and associates on social ...media... not everyone has been having the same experience. My friends and co vendors are hurting. They hurt because they are living through this up and down world everyone else is, but on top of that many of them are being abused for circumstances out of their control. We have no control on what can and can’t happen. We can’t afford to be fined for doing the wrong thing. We can’t afford to get sick. We hurt and cry when abused by clients for things we can’t control. Many have their businesses as their sole source of income, the only way their family gets fed, they keep a roof over their heads. During this time of heightened stress we can either come together to make things work or abuse and attack. None of us want to make a wedding any harder or more stressful than it already can be so please stop, breathe and think before saying something out of frustration for the situation to your vendors or anyone in general. 04.01.2022 Christmas Mini Session bookings now open! Yes I know it’s only the 1st of September but we know this year is not like normal ones. There is a high chance that there won’t be santa photos happening this year so as a first I will be doing a somewhat Christmas themed round of mini photos. These will be very limited over two afternoons, 7th and 8th of November, up here on the hill where I did my own Christmas photo last year... which means it’s also in a pet friendly location.... These will be $150 for 15mins and include 3 high resolution images of your choice. If there is a demand for it I will also offer some other locations in Brisbane or sunny coast so if you have friends local to you who would also be interested make sure you let them know otherwise it will just be here at Mt Mee. There are still dates available for longer sessions if you prefer also so just let me know and we can get that sorted for you also. After the year we have had photos are now more than ever a wonderful idea for loved ones, especially with some people not being able to see the ones they love. See more

04.01.2022 Just off the phone to these two lovelies and I am beyond excited to see them on Saturday for their wedding. It’s going to be a massive weekend for me, heading out to Dalby and staying the night because I am not so keen on a dusk/night drive home after having a run in with a kangaroo before. Sunday it’s my own wedding anniversary, so I always think this is a great weekend for a wedding

04.01.2022 Last week we snuck in a family session and I mentioned we also had two puppers as well... two beautiful boxers! So well behaved, we got photos done with them first and then they just hung out in the back of the car watching the craziness of their families photos continue :) I am editing like crazy right now before the predicted storm comes through, then back in the admin for any messages I haven’t sent through yet. Will also be sending through the schedule for those doing Christmas minis in a few weeks! There is a lot going on!

03.01.2022 Let’s start the week right! It’s been a weekend of editing and migraines for me and am feeling good now! This week is a pretty big one, car service, maternity session, forest boudoir session and ending with a glorious wedding (everyone please cross everything for good weather on Saturday) Today though will be a quiet planning day for me and catching up on messages and emails before the rest of the week kicks off. So what have you got happening this week? Anything interesting or just normal everyday stuff?

03.01.2022 It’s been a busy morning. I got the message yesterday that my two babies I randomly ordered when we were at @city_chicks_brisbane a couple weeks ago were ready! So I got up early to fit some work in first before heading down to Samford to pick up my new little girls. A Barnevelder (the brown one) and a speckled Sussex (a different version of our lavender Sussex) They are already helping bring a smile to my face. So they are going to be my office mates and bond with me while I am editing now and then when big enough will head down to join our big girls in the chicken mansion. Yes there will be baby spam but I will try and keep most of it on my home account @radljosthome

02.01.2022 There is a bit too much chaos in my life right now. The only place I can really control is my desk so that’s what’s getting some work for the first hour of my work time today. Some plants need some attention, some plants need pots, everything needs a clean/dust and I need to sort my scheduling and admin. These next couple months, if we aren’t thrown anymore curve balls, are crazy busy for me with weddings and sessions to make up for the first half of this year. Tell me, how do you find calm in chaos in your life? I need all the advice.

02.01.2022 Don’t be fooled... @chaseandtess have been nothing but trouble today which is almost appropriate since it’s international dog day apparently. Today we have barked at the fedex lady, the amazing mail lady (who we see every damn day so should know her) is very person that walked past and random things that haven’t existed... and that’s mainly Tess. Chase spent his time telling his sister off for barking at everything else and attempting to steal carrots out of the garden. Who am I kidding... this is them most days. Tell me about your puppers! 01.01.2022 Overwhelmed... hell yes I am. After going through several months of very little work, watching far too much Netflix, saying I would use the time to make myself a better version of me and get a shit tonne of stuff done around the house... it’s now coming up to some crazy work time and I got fuck all done. Sure I did a lot of study, we got some jobs done around the house and did a few shoots, but it wasn’t what I wanted to achieve. Over the next few months my life will be in...sane, in September we have 4 weddings, 5 other sessions, I have a giant pile of editing I am working on, need to move my website and the MBHW websites to new hosting (and rebuild) plus smash my marketing to get some jobs for next year oh and deal with this pandemic... yep am a lil overwhelmed. Emails and messages are slower than they should be (aren’t they always) but I am getting there. I am actually incredibly excited to be working so much again. So I am here, I am still alive, still working, still trying to look after myself, to grow, to learn, to be better, but it may be easier to call me than message. So, I will get back into the swing of things, and back into my routine and things will be bloody amazing and I can’t wait for that. Right now though, I gotta go and squeeze what little water we have left in our tanks (yep we ran out of water lol) and get myself ready for this afternoons elopement at @dayborocottages_and_llamawalks with @sweetpetitewed and @married.by.bec Have an amazing Sunday my peeps. 01.01.2022 The sun came out for a short while this afternoon for a family session up on the hill. I got the chance to have some quiet time before it started and enjoyed the view. The cows didn’t come up for a chat today and I did miss them, half the fun is hanging out with them and stopping Kiss from eating my @kamrette camera bag (she has an obsession with it) Will have some sneaky peeks from this session tomorrow once the family see them! There were dogs involved! Take a guess and see if you can get the breed they were (this will check if people are reading my posts lol) Then tomorrow afternoon we have a wedding! Can’t say much yet but it’s a picnic, near the water and we have every damn thing crossed that we have no rain between 3 and 5!
