07.01.2022 Recently I was in a lift with one other person where, due to the virus, only 2 people were allowed at a time. A third lady and her child tried to enter but I gently reminded them of the sign saying 2 people only. This lady became verbally aggressive and was upset. The lift door shut before I could reply. A few days later I found myself in another lift with a woman who was almost in tears saying how her life is a complete mess since the virus. I listened and felt compassion.... Next day I parked the car a bit too close to another in a carpark. However, it was within the lines and access was okay for both our cars. When I returned 10 minutes later the owner of the car came out of nowhere yelling at me that I had better not hit his car. Although I wanted to point out that he was out of line, I bit my lip and smiled and reassured him I would not hit his car which I didn’t. As I drove home in thick traffic, I noticed as I was stopped at the lights how not one driver was smiling or looked content. It seems people are extra volatile and touchy. I guess what I am trying to say is in my ramble is it seems every one of us is feeling challenged in one way or another right now and we all cope in our own way. It is an opportunity to dig deep and find a little kindness, compassion and forgiveness.
