02.01.2022 HAPPY NAIDOC WEEK to all of our wonderful followers! NAIDOC started early for the team at LJW with a dot painting workshop for the Bimbi Wadja students of St Clare’s Catholic School. From this, these pictures were transformed into a school wide colouring in competition for this years NAIDOC week, encompassing the theme of Voice, Treaty & Truth. ... Students with the most creative designs were chosen by a panel of judges and awarded handcrafted designs created and presented by the LJW team. Prep-Grade 3 were awarded a hand painted dot painting and Grades 4-6 were given an original wood cut out design of the animals from the pictures hand drawn by Leroy. As NAIDOC week kicks off today, we are excited to see and take part in some of the wonderful activities that Townsville has to offer. How will you be celebrating?
