25.01.2022 Elijah has been practicing hard and is playing Snakey by Australian composer Daniel MacFarlane. Beautifully I might add!

24.01.2022 It was SUCH a pleasure having Cooper back in my studio recently. Cooper lives and breathes piano and plays with such feeling. He puts his own 'stamp' on whatever he is playing - self expression - that's what it's all about.... Enjoy Chopin's Nocturne in Fminor Op.55, No. 1 performed by Cooper.

23.01.2022 Well, I had just a little bit of fun over this past weekend ...... I bought another piano! I am so excited to have this beautiful Yamaha digital piano in my studio now. It really is an awesome instrument being: a digital piano with the full 88 Keys, weighted keys and three pedals. Aside from that it does all that fun stuff that an electric keyboard does ie. backing rhythms, drums and just about any instrument conceivable! You will notice a microphone stand in the photos because unlike pretty much all digital pianos, this one has a mic output - so for my budding songwriters you now have your keys, a band to support you and a mic ! Can you tell Im just a little bit excited?

23.01.2022 A cup of tea and brownies brought to me by Katharina, at our piano lesson tonight. Yuuuuum! Thanks Katharina I really enjoyed them.

22.01.2022 Welcome, welcome to my brand new Facebook page, or as I shall refer to it as "My Super Students Page"! Please visit regularly as this is where I will be actively posting all things related to my piano studio and showcasing my amazing students. I have kicked off the launch of my page with this beautiful quote which sums up how I feel about each and every student who comes through my studio.... "A child is like a butterfly in the wind ... Some can fly higher than others, But each one flies the best it can. Why compare one against the other? Each one is different. Each one is special. Each one is beautiful." I look forward to sharing the comings and goings of my studio. I hope you will find it both interesting and enjoyable. Please feel free to Like and Share my page

18.01.2022 Sean is busy putting the final touches to his Grade 4 exam pieces and tonight Id like to share with you Sean performing Vanhals Cantabile and Allegro from Sonatina Op 41 No 6. Sean is battling a cold and had a major case of the sniffles so he did extremely well to get through without reaching for the tissues!

18.01.2022 Who doesnt love card games and board games? Ive been waiting on these to arrive - teaching and learning is so much better with games - these will help with rhythm, note reading and pitch, and recognition of various musical symbols .

17.01.2022 My wonderful student Mia practicing with her best buddy keeping her company!

16.01.2022 Marcus working on his first composition! And a week or so later it is finished and he is playing it - fantastic work Marcus - I LOVED it

15.01.2022 Jacob has done an awesome job playing Tick Tock The Jazz Clock with such perfect timing!

14.01.2022 Apologies for being so quiet of late! Been quietly - and even not so quietly - tearing my hair out trying to come to grips with setting up a website. Anyway a student of mine sent me this link and I thought I just must share it with my studio and friends. This is just amazing - and kids - I'm on the look out for a partner to perform this duet with me at our end of year recital !

13.01.2022 I am so very proud of this young man! He works hard and his efforts were well rewarded - passed his Grade 3 Piano exam with Honours

12.01.2022 Hello, this is an introduction to my new program Kiddy Keys, available for individual students or small groups.

12.01.2022 We were so fortunate to view a fabulous collection of early keyboard instruments- many of them in line to be restored by ECU. Below is a photo of the First Fleet Piano - very first piano to arrive in Australia!

12.01.2022 So Ive never been big on Halloween but I have always been intrigued by the carved pumpkins. This year I decided to give it a go - I really enjoyed it! Happy Halloween

11.01.2022 "Happy Fathers Day" dads of Marcus, Alex, Mia and Sean. Thankyou for entrusting your precious children to me yesterday afternoon. I hope they enjoyed our excursion - I certainly did!

11.01.2022 Sean is busy putting the final touches to his Grade 4 exam pieces and tonight I’d like to share with you Sean performing Vanhal’s Cantabile and Allegro from Sonatina Op 41 No 6. 09.01.2022 Huge congratulations to Sean! All the hard work has paid off - he has just passed his Grade 4 AMEB Piano exam.

07.01.2022 I had trouble scheduling the post of Cooper playing last night and it went out quite late. I am reposting it in the hope that more people will see it - i Know you'll enjoy his playing - he is such a talented young man.

04.01.2022 All these parts are what make up a piano key in the modern day piano! I was absolutely amazed at this. This was one of the fascinating exhibits from the Keys in the City event myself and four of my students attended last Saturday.

03.01.2022 I have come across this amazing website whilst 'googling' the great classical composers. In weeks to come I shall be posting some of the funny, strange and just plain weird things I have learned. Please share this particular one with your kids, as I have mentioned to several of my students the story about the young Haydn being expelled from school for chopping off a fellow students pigtail!

01.01.2022 Not only does Mia play piano beautifully, she also prepared and presented this wonderful speech at school and is very kindly presenting it now for us!

01.01.2022 Another wonderful end of year piano recital. A lovely relaxed afternoon celebrating music, friendship and my amazing students. Thankyou to all of my students who make my job so very rewarding and thankyou to their parents who support and encourage. Wishing you all a joyous Christmas and I look forward to catching up again in the new year.
